Two goals from Gnal inspires Kroniz romp

22 Jan: Two goals form Gnal, another two from Asri and another from HJ Fendi gave a resounding 5-3 triumph over MInistry of Finance (MOF) at Maktab Duli Field on Friday afternoon.

It was a surprise when the deadlock was broken just twelve minutes in, by HJ Fendi as he eluded his marker turned a score a rare field goal.

However, MOF started to be well organized and continued to dominate proceedings, after that goal. MOF seemed to be awakened by the quick strike. Leading an unexpected response with three goals therefore leading Kroniz with 1-3 in the first half.

Kroniz started off brightly in the second half, stringing better passes and making more efforts in retaining possession and venturing upfront. A wonder strike from Gnal five minutes later after breaking away from the MOF defense close the gap to 2-3 , his curling shot outside the penalty box to the top corner which left MOF keeper stranded.

10 minutes later, Kroniz were handed the moment to produce their clincher. Asri broke into the penalty area and a defender challenging him, tripping the former in the process. Referee pointed to the spot immediately, Asri duly stepped up and converted the spot kick to make it 3-3.

MOF’s goal was breached again just two minutes later. This time a cross deflected off MOF defender and went the direction of a surprised Gnal, who did well to backtrack and gleefully capitalized on the situation to stab into goal from close range for Kroniz to lead 4-3.

But there was no doubt whose team going to win the game, with Asri put icing on the cake with his second goals to finished the game with a 5-3 victory to kroniz.

Kroniz head coach Bab was satisfied with the three points his team had collected.

“The attacking form and quality today was good, although we were a little disappointment in the first half, we were a little out of play. Luckily we had a couple of good playl and we are happy with the final score.

“I am very pleased that we could keep creating plenty of opportunities. There were plenty of good performances out there, many players want to be recognized with their work today and contributed to the result.”

Kroniz top first game of the season

20 Jan: Kroniz FC kicked off their 2010 season with a resounding 3-2 victory over SM Awang Semaun (SMAS) at the Belapan Field on Wednesday afternoon and pick up the first win of the season.

In a tie marred by injuries, the Kroniz were missing the services of a few players. This to the advantage of SMAS made a strong surge for goal with an early siege on Kroniz, but the experienced backline lead by Sulaiman made it difficult for the visitors to trouble kroniz goalkeeper Pg Zul.

A sumptuous team move from kroniz produced a piercing through ball for Pg Suffian, who sprinted away from the SMAS defence and crossing the ball forcing SMAS goalkeeper to make an error catching the ball to the delight of Gnal and slot it home to the open net. Kroniz lead the first half 1-0.

Kroniz continued their fine form after the restart, with two more goals from Aliuddin and Asri. However SMAS managed to score two goals. The final score was Kroniz FC 3 SMAS 2.

“We are disappointed to have lost the game,” said SMAS head coach after the game. “Our players could not play according to the style we had in mind, and that was what led to our defeat.”

“SMAS made it very difficult for us as they have a very fit and well-organised team,” said Kroniz team manager praising the visitors’ efficiency in movement and fitness. “The first half was difficult, but it was a good thing that we had the self-belief to win the game.

“We managed to maintain the shape and discipline of the entire team, and fought on to get the deserving goals,” he continued.

Pre Season Tournament Nightmare

A pre season mini tournament was organized at SMJA field in a wet Saturday night. It was a fantastic tournament with great teams such as BPR, TAIB and .......... . The four teams played a round robin games that night which ended at 12.30am." It was a terrific experience for the players to go there and play so I am sure it will be a great build-up to the season and we are all looking forward to playing in 2010" said Pg Ariffin.

Kroniz lost two of the games and won the last game. However the tournament came with a heavy price tag as a few players was injured playing in the Tournament. The nightmare would have an impact on kroniz's long season. Please update report with results,,,

Pre-season friendlies: Calendar 2010

Preparations for the Kroniz FC season 2010 are entering their final weeks, and the club has been busy scheduling pre-season friendlies as they prime themselves for the big kickoff for the first game of the season.

Kroniz played two pre-season matches against Rejects league player (RLP) at Belapan Field and Pasukan Gerak Khas (PGK) at MD Field.

In the first game a weak Kroniz FC A line-up went down 4-2 to Reject League Players (RLP) at Belapan Field as they suffered something of a first-half collapse.

The incomplete kroniz's team have to borrowed three players as kroniz lost control of a match with three goals in the first half.

However in the second a more organized kroniz team managed to close the gap with two goals but a volleyed by RLP player before the final whistle destroy kroniz comeback.

In the second Kroniz pre-season programme also ended in disappointment as Bab's troops suffered a comprehensive 2-0 defeat against the fit Pasukan Gerak Khas (PGK).

After a tight first half, the PGK came alive after the break with two wonderful goals. the deadlock was finally broken 20 minutes from time with a clear header and the second a low sharp right wing free kick.
