Hijrah 1433 game ended with a lost

27th Nov: Kroniz played a braved game at Katok field today but ended on the wrong side. Muara Port came early and had a full squad doing warming up as kroniz players trickle in to the game. The game started with only 10 players available with most first squad players went missing. Azreen and Rosli organized the defence with precison to denied Muara port any shooting chances. Kroniz managed to put Muara port at bay by packing the defence through out the first half. The first half ended 0-0. The availability of Pyan in the second half completed kroniz players. Kroniz continued to make life difficult for Muara port but the tired legs of kroniz players especially the defence finally gave in. Muara port took advantages of the tired kroniz players to scored three goals late in the game. Although keoniz lost the game but they managed to keep the score respectable with the limited players available.

Fine day for football.

20th Nov: It was a fine sunday afternoon to play football at kebajikan field. With no dark clouds in sight gave Kroniz the confidence against Mudboys Fc. The game started slowly as both teams played a calculated game. Although kroniz made a few shots on targets but Mudboys keeper and central defenders played well to denied kroniz any chance. To the surprise of kroniz Mudboys scored the first goal with a shot that baffled everyone. Not to be undermine Kroniz picked up their game keeping the possession of the ball. The advantage of a corner kick was well taken when Arch managed to head the ball in goal to tied the game 1-1. Mudboys didn't gave up and keep pressuring kroniz defences and managed to scored another goal. Late in the first half a through ball to Bob and he managed to outrun mudboys central defender to scored another for Kroniz to tied the game 2-2. In the second half kroniz made five changes and with new legs and power kroniz were more determined to win. Gnoh made a mad rush from the sideline cutting to the centre beating a least three defenders and shooting hard low drive to scored the third for kroniz. Leading 3-2 it was one way traffic for kroniz with 75% of ball possession but just couldn't add more goals. The final whistle came and kroniz were happy with the 3-2 win. Scorer: Arch, Bob, Gnoh

Kroniz can't swim

13 Nov: The fine sunday afternoon turns into a heavy rainfall in a game with Aqua Fc. Aqua fc or Water Works Department played a fast as lighting football. Their wingers were fast and kroniz defenders try to hold out with all their might. The heavy rainfall midway in the game gave the advantages to the aqua men as they seem to be at home with water as they swam on the pitch hehe. Two lighting fast attacked produced two goals for Aqua fc. In the first minutes kroniz defenders were caught by surprised at the speed of Aqua players swimming past kroniz defenders and the second an own goal by Kroniz defenders in a desperate attempt to cleared the ball. Kroniz try to keep afloat but they just can't swim, waves and waves of attacked were repelled either by the keeper or the woodwork. As the tide are against kroniz, they drowned at kebajikan field with the scoreline of 0-2.

Aidil Adha Game ended with a draw

6 Nov: Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha to all muslims. It was a hard fought battle for Kroniz Fc to claimed a draw at Katok Field today. Today game saw Kroniz determination not to lose the game. Attendance for today game was to the bare minimal with 12 players came to the game. TBC Fc played a fast and skillful display that caused havoc at Kroniz defenses. Although leading 1 nil with Gnal side footed TBC defense and slot in the goal however TBC came back roaring. They managed to disorganize Kroniz defenses with their fast running and accurate passing to scored three goals in the first half. In the second half Kroniz self reflect their weakness and gave TBC a taste of their own medicine. Gnal again poached a goal on the line after TBC keeper managed to palm away Arch try. That goal gave Kroniz the momentum to surge forward and deservedly scored the equalizing goal by Eddy header from Nizam crossed. The game ended with a deserving 3-3. Scorer Gnal (2) Eddy 1

Two win in a row

30 Oct: Katok field today saw another exciting game for kroniz and this time against Pos Fc. Surprisingly today saw another big attendance for kroniz as 21 players were available for the game. The availability of players made it easier for the manager to strategies selection of players. Kroniz drew first blood with Nafi goal before Pos fc level the game. Dodoi struck another goal for kroniz to lead the first half 2-1. In the second half again the whole squad was changed and this added pressured for Pos Fc. Kroniz continued their robust momentum and scored another two goals through Alinordi and Pg Eddy. The game ended with another big win Kroniz Fc 4 Pos Fc 1. Scorer Nafi, Dodoi, Alinordi and Pg Eddy. Let hope the fairy tale continue next week.

Finally a big win

23 Oct: A day to be remembered for kroniz as they ran riot at Kebajikan Field at the expense of MOFAT Fc. The most notable sign of an exciting game as 20 kroniz players was available for the game. In so many months this is the highest attendance for Kroniz. The selection for players was easy to fill the right position. The first half start slowly as MOFAT scored first and kroniz were behind twice and managed to level the game with two goals by Dodoi. It was a balanced game as it ended 2-2 in the firt half. The second half was a different story as kroniz changed the whole squad and put pressured on MOFAT. Kroniz players with fresh legs ran riot and scored four more goal through Hamdan, Adi Iskandar (2) and Alinordi. The game ended with Kroniz 6 MOFAT 2. Scorer Dodoi (2), Adi Iskandar (2) Hamdan and Alinordi.

16th Oct: Katok Field saw another disappointing display by kroniz. Limited availability of players made matter worse. Three goals by GGSU Fc in the first half ended the game for kroniz. In the second half a glimmer of hope with well taken free kick just outside the box into the top corner by Gnal fail to lift kroniz out of doldrums. There is no way out for kroniz in this game as GGSU added another goal late in the second half. Time crisis indeed for kroniz as the game ended 1- 4 to GGSU Fc. Scorer Gnal.

Destroyed by Jerudong Fc

9 Oct: It was a game of two worlds at Kebajikan Field on a fine sunday afternoon. In preparation for the coming Brunei National league Jerudong FC professional team came down to show their ability and readiness. The young footballers were made their intention clear when they scored eight goals past kroniz seasoned players four in each half. The only consolation was a goal by Nasrin when kroniz were trailing 2-0 for a brief comeback to make it 2-1. After that it was a one sided affair of no return. The game ended with 1-8 to Jerudong Fc.

Losing to a better team

30th September: It was a tough game at kebajikan field against a well organize PBFC team. Kroniz went into the game with determination against a youthful team. Through out the game kroniz match PBFc ball for ball and able to display and energetic game. The first half it was a balance game and ended with 1-1 with Bob equalizing with a low drive. In the second half Kroniz started to display fatigue and were on the defenses most of the time. PBfc took advantage and scored another two goals. not giving up Kroniz push on and managed to scored another goal with some beautiful passing and Bob clinical finishing. The game ended with Kroniz 2 PBfc 3. Scorer Bob (2)

Great win after Raya

18 September: Six weeks after the raya holidays, Kroniz were pitted with Min com Fc at kebajikan field. The determined Kronizian put up a great fight and barely won the game 3-2 without the services of kroniz juniors. The all veterans kroniz players lead 2-0 during the half time with goals from Aming and Nizam. In the second half Min com fc roared back with 2 quick goals that forced kroniz to reorganised their defence. Under pressured throughout the second half, a quick surprise attacked from Kroniz lead to a goal from Sharol. Leading 3-2 Kroniz packed the defence and held on for the rest of the game. Scorer: Aming, Nizam dan Sharol.

Worst fear confirmed

16th Julai: Kroniz's worst fear was confirmed after they threw away twice leading goal against R11, to ensured their own survival battle.

Kroniz's needed a victory at the PTE katok to stand any chance survival for the long run.

R11 stormed back after the break winning the game 3-2 and sending the Kroniz winless in four games.

Currently feeling rock-bottom Kroniz, must face up to the reality of life in the keeping the team together in the long run. For the second game in a row only eight players turned up and have to import three players.

Kroniz broke forward early on and after receiving Bob's pass, a makeshift kroniz import player fired a deflected shot towards goal to lead 1-0.

However, R11 pressurized kroniz defences R11 striker turned in the box and blasted into kroniz's goal.

The first half ended 1-1. Rosli has to leave the game and Pg Eddy took the responsibility as the keeper in the second half.

In the second half, Kroniz had shown little going forward, but a minute later they took the lead again after R11 failed to deal with a corner.

In the ensuing scramble, Yazid's shot producing a strike that R11 keeper unable to gathered.

Six minutes after the goal, R11 player then drove one across goal and at the other a player tap it in to pull themselves back into the match.

The equaliser set up a frantic finale, with both sides desperately seeking a winning goal.

R11 defender prevented Yazid from going clean through with a challenge that Kroniz felt was a penalty, but referee waved play on.

The tired legs of kroniz players proved costly with no subsitution R11 had the final say in the 87th minute, cutting into the box and slipping a shot under Pg Eddy for R11 to win the game 2-3. Scorer Yazid and import.

Eight brave souls

3th Julai: Kroniz eight brave souls ended the game with pride today as Wasabi Fc signed off from Kebajikan Field with an easy win. Only eight players were available for the game but that didn't stop them from displaying their best against the complete set of Wasabi players.

The deathly silence was briefly broken as Yazid scored the only kroniz goal as he passed three defenders and smashed home a beautiful goal for kroniz to lead 1-0.

However Wasabi get their act together and scored three goals before the first half whistle was blown.

In the second half with no replacement and players available kroniz braved the afternoon and did their best to held on. Pg Ariffin was kroniz's star player who played the full game although he retired with 10 minutes to go.

Kroniz was no match for Wasabi 11s s they scored another two goals.

The final whistle was music to the ears as the tired kroniz players walked out of the field with dignity and pride only to lose 1-5. Scorer Yazid.

Thrilling lost?

24th Jun: Dodoi's goal the 15th minutes is not enough to break ex Dpmm player momentum as they fought back at a high tempo game at Jerudong mini stadium Friday night game.

Kroniz were in complete disarray as the Ex Dpmm young and fit players increase the pressure on Kroniz's defence in the last 15 minutes in the first half to scored four goals.

Ex Dpmm were breathtaking as their pace and movement left Kroniz at times bewildered.

Kroniz showed few signs of producing a similarly dogged display in their last game as this time they really fought hard to compete with the Ex Dpmm players.

In the first 30 minutes Kroniz were simply irresistible, Hamdan and Aliuddin dominating in the middle of the pitch to allow Aming, Dodoi and Bob to repeatedly run at the shell-shocked Ex Dpmm defence to create the first goal.

It came as a surprise that the scoreline remained at 1-4 when the half-time whistle handed the Kroniz brief respite.

The worry before kick-off in the second had been that, with limited Kroniz's reserves, the ball would not stick in the final third of the field and that would invite pressure on to Kroniz's back four.

Kroniz did not see it at all in amid a black and yellow blizzard as Kroniz had the game under control for 20 minutes before Ex Dpmm scored another.

Alarm bells started ringing for the Ex Dpmm as Asri struck from close range with 15 minutes remaining by drilling home a second goal for kroniz.

As the game continues cracks started to appear in the tired Kroniz defence as Ex Dpmm added another goal.

It looked certain to be an agonising remaining minutes for Kroniz but it was a little too much to ask to compete with the experience of Ex Dpmm players.

The final whistle was music to the ears as Kroniz show a thrilling game but ended with a 2 -6 thrashing against Ex Dpmm players. Kroniz scorers Dodoi n Asri.

Catastrophic lost

19th june: Kroniz's thrilling win last week ended in typically rollercoaster fashion at Kebajikan field yesterday as they were defeated after hammaring by GA Fc in the second half.

After the equalizing goal from Bob had threatened to secure a draw, Kroniz were incapable of holding on.

The goal which sunk them was thanks to their own only twisted the knife that little bit deeper, with mistakes after mistakes.

GA Fc added another four before the end but by that time, Kroniz were already condemned.

So much happened before kick-off that the explosion of action immediately after the first whistle was merely maintaining the frenzy.

Kroniz had pledged to attack but even they could not have imagined GA would be tough to crack.

Unfortunately, the magnitude of the opportunity got the better of them.

Kroniz could not clung to the life raft as GA scored four more catastrophic goals.

15th Anniversary brilliant 9-2 win

Dodoi four goals inspired Kroniz to their biggest win of the season against Mariner Fc at Bolkiah Camp Field.

He was not necessarily brilliant but just put himself in the right places to capitalise on some impressive team play by a side brimming with the confidence.

There were positives all over the field with Aliuddin and Nazrin scoring two goals each while even stopper Yazid, got among the goals with a late brilliant effort.

Nine goals and all this achieved an injuries to Jamri, Pyan and Aripin to named a few sustained in the game.

Adaptability was the name of the game as kroniz adopted a midfield diamond formation to get the best out of Aripin and Dodoi with Nazrin' attacking intent.

Crucial to making it work, however, were the superb back four at the base lead by Bab.

Roslan lay-off saw the midfielder fire in a swerving shot which the Mariner goalkeeper spilled into the path of Dodoi who made no mistake from close range for his first goal.

Mariner briefly responded, without really threatening, before they were caught by a classic Kroniz counter-attack in the 23rd minute.

Gnal intentionally picked out and flicked on into the path Aliuddin just over the halfway line and he did well to hold off the challenge of defenders for the second. Dodoi added another when he slot home his second.

Kroniz were leading three goals when mariners pulled one back before half time.

Having moved into a comfortable 3-1 lead kroniz immediately reverted to more orthodox 4-4-2 formation to ensure Mariners were afforded no way back with Pg Suffian in a holding position.

Mariner's side provided more of a challenge in the second half but were always chasing the match and their cause became a lost one in the 56th minute when Dodoi scored his third.

Almost unnoticed in all the pass-and-move mayhem kroniz were creating was the performance of the Nazrin who scored the fifth and sixth goals.

Dodoi scored the seventh again when a precise long ball from Gnal, he controlled it and shot home.

Rosli may not have been at fault for the first but he saved well from mariners strikers in their attacks but he could do nothing to prevent Mariners getting up to slot home the second through his legs.

Aliuddin was played onside by Roslan, trailing slightly behind his defensive colleagues, and he raced forward and shot home to the far post.

Yazid saved the best goal for last, collecting Bab's 83rd-minute pass and shooting low for the ninth goals.

The result was a barometer of the confidence of kronizs and lifted the spirits within the camp, as Kroniz celebrated their 15th anniversary.

Struggling to win

27th Mei: Kroniz Fc failed to held for a draw losing to Nona Fc at Katok Feild friday afternoon.

Although Kroniz ripped apart Nona defences in the first minute of the game with Dodoi running past three defenders and netting for kroniz.

Nona responded with second-half efforts and the visitors had their survival all but secured with a fantastic second-half display.

In the second half Nona were the first to settle and won an early penalty to level the game.

Hamdan then took advantage of some hesitancy by Nona defenders wasn't alert to the situation and to dealt with his low centre drive to score the second goal for kroniz.

Nona Fc keep pushing forward and the visitors drew level again with a goal into the corner of the net by the Nona's striker.

Kronizs were struggling into the match and were relying too much on the long ball.

And after 79 minutes a superb strike from Nona striker scored a third goal for the visitor to make it 2-3.

Inconsistence Lost

20hb mei: Kroniz Fc have to shallow their pride losing to Semaun Fc 3-5 at Katok Feild friday afternoon.

Kronizs were ripped apart in the second half half with Semaun Fc netting five goals.

Although kroniz start brightly in the first half with a fantastic display they lead with two goals from Bob and Aliuddin.

They were the first to settle and won an early goal from Bob with a low drive,

Then nasrin took advantage of some hesitancy by semaun defender and kroniz was awarded a penalty which was converted by Aliuddin.

In the second half, Semaun Fc made a strategic tactical changes and made the game difficult for kroniz.

Kroniz were struggling to get into the match and were relying too much on the long ball.

Semaun Fc went on a rampage and managed to scored five goals with Kroniz losing all the confidence in all department.

But, with seconds remaining of the game, the Kroniz did make it 3-5 with a crossed by gnal and Pg Eddy on hand with a low shot after cutting into the area.

Shocker free kick

14th Mei: The decision to keep faith with Metusin to take a free kick from the middle of the field paid off as the midfielder scored the winning goal against MBS at Bolkiah Kem Field last friday afternoon.

Kronizs showed little sign that the 0-1 defeat by Dental Fc had affected them as they started confidently on a sunny afternoon.

Despite his playing a central defender, Alinordi open the scoring with a well-taken through ball from Nizam and he breezed past two defenders before slotting the ball into goal.

MBS pulled one back when their striker smashed one in off the bar to make it 1-1 just before the break.

Nasrin added the second for Kroniz when he thundered in a loose ball in the penalty area.

Despite an impressive second-half performance by Kronizs, MBS could still find an equaliser.

Metusin free kick shocked MBS and kronizs were made to hold on for the narrow win.

Kronizs have to put in a much more disciplined performance if they are to overhaul MBS, but the win is an important one given that they had failed to win their previous game.

With 80 minutes gone, however, Kroniz shocked MBS with an amazing goal from Metusin free kick who smacked a 50-yard screamer in off the bar.

Kronizs were becoming nervous at their side's failure to find a fourth and MBS striker reminded them of the threat he posed when he fired a 20-yard drive that Rosli did well to tip over.

MBS were looking dangerous and Kronizs looked anxious in the dying minutes to hold on for the win.

Lost to Dental Fc

8th Mei: Kroniz blew the chance for another win after failing to beat Dental Fc 0-1 at Kebajikan Field.

A second-half goal by Dental Fc frustrated Kroniz and extinguished any ambitions of winning.

Kronizvstarted brightly and causing problems to Dental Fc defences.

It continued to be one-way traffic in the first half but kroniz just couldn't find the net.

After so much pressure, Dental Fc then cut Kroniz apart after the break.

Although Kroniz made several change for the second half but all the effort were to no avail.

Dental Fc slowly got themselves back into a rhythm, with a angling a low drive across goal to dispatch a cool finish low into the far corner.

Kroniz closed out the game in unbelievable fashion that they lost the game..

Sensational comeback

1st May: Kroniz produced a dramatic sensational late comeback to beat Dhs Fc in a ten-goal thriller at the new Bolkiah mini stadium today.

Kroniz were dominant in the early stages of the game and took the lead when Asri received a through ball from Roslan in midfield and slot home a clinical finish. Both players returned after a long lay off due to injuries.

The lead doesn't last long when Dhs equalised after a confusion in the kroniz box.

Kroniz scored the second by Bob when he able to beat Dhs keeper from a distance to the top corner.

After that goal Kroniz defence went into meltdown, gifting Dhs with another two easy goals to lead kroniz 2- 3 going into the second half.

Kroniz were rewarded for going for broke in the second half with eight changes to the team to prevent another defeat. Bob starting the fightback with his second goal in the game to levelled the scores with a superb volley.

Hamdan fed Pg Eddy with a perfect ball into the area which was turned in at the near post with a first-time shot for kroniz to lead again 4-3.

However, as has also been their way recently, Korniz let their opponents back in and are now slipping alarmingly towards another draw with 10 minutes remaining.

To everyone suprised Kroniz roared back in characteristic fashion with goals from Nazrin and Pg Eddy.

Jamri's freekick may have crossed the line after striking the woodwork before Dhs players cleared the ball out of danger.

Kroniz deservedly took the lead as Hadi weaved his way into the area and picked out Nazrin, who confidently swept home from seven yards.

Given what had gone before, Kroniz did not want to take any chances and surged forward to put the match beyond doubt with a sixth.

Kroniz showed some of the determination got another goal after Nazrin shot was blocked by Dhs keeper on the edge of the area but bounced towards goal and Pg Eddy made sure the ball crossed the line.

The game ended with kroniz win 6-4. Scorers Bob (2), Pg Eddy (2), Nazrin and Asri.

Harsh reality

24th April: Kroniz Fc was defeated by Gannas Fc 0-3 at kebajikan field today. The margin of defeat was harsh on kroniz, who missed several chances of their own.

In what were admittedly a fine day conditions, kroniz flattered to deceive in the first half, dominating the opening 20 minutes without finding the net.

Kroniz plyers looked certain to do so inside those 20 minutes - just as they had done in the last game.

Pg Eddy, Dodoi, Nasrin and Alinordi all went close but Gannas's blanket defence stood firm.

Their attacking threat had been virtually nil but that changed in the 24th minute when Gannas striker managed to beat the offside trap and scored close-range with the keeper beaten.

Kroniz were becoming increasingly sloppy, with a suicidal pass going unpunished and a lack of communication among the players.

Kroniz lost Dodoi due to injury moments later and hobbling off and Nasrin carried off the pitch in worryingly innocuous fashion.

With 20 minutes remaining, Korniz lost it all when Gannas scored their second and third goals. Final score: Kroniz Fc 0 Gannas Fc 3

Dramatic fightback

15th April: Hamdan scored a dramatic hat-trick and Alinordi and Fendi add to the icing as Kroniz produced another sensational late comeback to beat Pondok 12 Fc at Kebajikan Field today.

Kroniz appeared certain to open the door for Pondok12 Fc when their defence went into meltdown, gifting the pondok12 a goal in the first half.

Kroniz were dominant but fell behind in dramatic fashion in the first half when a cross cleared the entire Kroniz defence to put Pondok12 striker header clean through.

In the second Kroniz threw on Hj Fendi, Metussin and Pg Eddy and moving Hamdan to the midfield position.

Kroniz were rewarded for going for broke in the second half, Hamdan starting the fightback with just 35 minutes remaining with a pwerful shot to the top corner to draw level.

The changes made an instant impression when Hamdan scored his second with a powerful low shot.

Kroniz went for the third when Hamdan complete the most unlikely of hat-trick in the match as he tap on a cross by Bob.

Hj Fendy scored the fourth when Metusin found him on the edge of the box and Pondok12's defence allowed him to take a touch and fire low in goal.

Kroniz were rampant and were awarded with the fifth when Alinordi found himself unmarked in the penalty box to tap in aclose range goal.

The game ended with Kroniz comfortably saw out their latest fightback with a 5-1 win. Scorers Hamdan (3) Hj Fendi 1 and Alinordi 1

Losing battle

8th April: R11 Fc condemned Kroniz Fc to another defeat of the season at PTEK Field.

Central midfielder Aliuddin fired home from a distance in the 15th minutes after exchanging excellent passes in the early part of the game however after that kroniz struggled to find any real fluency.

R11 started the fightback with two quick goals in the 25th and 28th minutes after two school boys mistake by Kronizs defenders.

Kroniz battled all the way to the whistle in a desperate attempt to rescue the match but R11 were good value for their win.

Kroniz were buoyed by the knowledge and optimism that for the first time in many games that 15 players were available for selection.

However Kroniz usually central defenders were not available and the initial solution was to promote Nasrin and Hj Radzi to the role with central defender taking over at the back, although the move patently did not work.

Sprited win against UNISA FC

1st April: Midfielder Gnal was Kroniz's unlikely saviour as he curled home a beautiful top corned winner to ignite his side's survival battle in their friendly games at PTEK field.

The 1980's under 16th Piasau Garden Belait champion player has found the net only once this year but the importance of his latest strike could not be underestimated.

His side appeared to have been frustrated in their bid for victory despite the visitors throwing everything in the latter stages of the second half after Pg Eddy had equalised Unisa fc opener in the 25th minute.

But when the impressive Gnal challanged Unisa defender to rolled the ball back from the byline the midfielder switched it on to his stronger left foot before smashing a curled shot past Unisa goalkeeper.

Whether this latest effort will be enough to keep Kroniz in the top flight against younger opponents remains to be seen but it lifted the sprit of the team.

More importantly, it will boost the confidence for Kroniz keep on fighting before retirement at aged 60.

More often than not Kroniz had no cause for complaint when they took the lead after just 15 minutes.

Matusin's flick-on appeared to catch three Unisa players in a day dreaming position on the edge of the Unisa penalty area, Pg Eddy reacted quickest to shoot past Unisa keeper for the first goal.

Apart from few' early shot Unisa had not threatened but out of the blue their winger broke free on the left to equalised in the 25th minute.

As expected the match opened up after the break, with Unisa pounding at kroniz's defence but they stood their ground.

27th: Kroniz's challenge for excellent suffered a blow as their late rally was only enough to secure a draw at Kebajikan Field against The Army Engineer Squadron Fc.

AES Fc were 2-0 up just before the hour mark when they capitalised on Kroniz's lack of speed in defense with two quick straight forward goals.

Kroniz staged a comeback with goals in the 70th minute and 78th both from Pg Eddy, but they could not find a winner.

Kroniz were in need of a lift following defeat from last week game, but they made the worst possible start as AES Fc took the lead after only 10 minutes.

AES players was allowed the space to broke forward with their speed and sending in a dangerous delivery that resulted in both goals. Kroniz's defensive frailties were laid bare with AES young and full of stamina players.

Although AES gain more possession but they were struggling to get a proper foothold and kroniz's showed some threatening signs with a few glaring misses.

Kroniz should have taken the lead when the ball dropped to Metusin right in front of goal, but the midfielder could only strike it straight into the sky.

Kroniz continued to press, Gnal seeing a cross but his shot come off his legs away from goal.

AES with the availability of thirty players was on rolling substitution through out the game in an attempt to give their side more attacking impetus.

With two goals behind and no luck in front of goal kronizs seemed to be fading, but a slick move saw them suddenly pull a goal back through Pg Eddy, who played a one-two with Alinordi before turning and rifling a shot beyond AES keeper.

The goal lifted kroniz up and began pouring forward and eight minutes after Pg Eddy's strike they found a leveller, with the pilot again the scorer.

Alinordi looping cross hit the post and AES defence was unable to deal with the rebound before Pg Eddy bundled it over the line.

Kroniz now looked the more likely winner and sent a succession of balls into the AES box, but there was no way through.

Metusin free kick at the death of the game saw his shot inches over the bar as AES hung on for a vital point.

18th Mac: Kroniz's striker Alinordi fired a 85th minute shot to draw the game level but was ruled out by the referee in a frustrating game for Kroniz at PTEK field against Jerudong Senior Fc.

Pg Eddy, who missed last weekend's game because of work commitment scored two goals for kroniz.

Its was a frustrating game for kroniz with the unavailable of players for the third time.

Kroniz were unlucky not to scored in at least 17 clear cut chances but unconvinced display by Kroniz players lead to frustration.

Jerudong Senior took their few opportunity to turned the tide and scored late in the first half with a sweetly-struck goal from the right at a tight angle.

The second half doesn't fair any better for Kroniz, as JS players capitalising on confusion in the kroniz defence to lead 0-2.

Not giving up Pg Eddy reached a lovely ball from Hj fendy cross just outside the the penalty box who powered his shot from the edge of the area to closed the gap 1-2.

As Kroniz continued to press forward for the equalizer their effort was shortlived when Kroniz conceded a free-kick just outside the area when Pg Nizam shoved JS player in the back, the JS player blasted the set piece through the wall to the surprised of Jamri and Jul on the goal line for JS to lead 1-3.

After that goal, Kroniz were more incisive in attack and their reward came in the 80th minute through Pg Eddy once more as he saw the ball bounce around the left post allowed him to power home with a header.

A late flurry from Kroniz was futile as an 85th minute goal was judged offside to the protest of kroniz players.

A series of hair-raising moments in the JS area saw Kroniz subdued by some desperate defending by JS player to held on to the win.

Thrilling Encounter vs Starfam Fc

11 Mac: Alinordi scored hattrick in a thrilling encounter at the Kebajikan Field as Kroniz held on for a priceless victory.

Kroniz were second best for much of the first half as for the second game only 12 players were available for selection including a few injured players. In also for the second time kroniz only played with 10 player in the beginning of the first half.

However with determination and smart game plan Kroniz veteran players deservedly took the lead through Roslan only for Starfam Fc to draw level soon after. 10 minutes before half-time Alinordi managed to scored for kroniz to lead 2-1 before half time.

The match really got going in the second half as Starfam Fc drew level again before Arch netted the third for kroniz. Not long after that Starfam scored again to level 3-3.

And it was certainly the visitors who provided most of the attacking threat with their fit and young players, kroniz defenders and keeper was forced to repel a barrage of balls fired into his box.

Kroniz welcomed back Pyan after five weeks out injured was also handed a rare start, after he returned from holiday in Australia.

Kroniz continued to press and Alinordi scored another from another terrific delivery by Kroniz midfield, but Starfam fc shocked their opponents by drawing level again to 4-4.

A lovely ball from Roslan found Arch in acres of space down the right and he took the ball to the byline before pulling back and could not miss from three yards for kroniz to lead again 5-4.

Just when kroniz seemed to have taken a stranglehold on the match, Starfam Fc pulled one back, and it could not have been simpler as corner kick picked out the head of the towering Starfam's player to level 5-5.

However, with a "never say die" attitude Kroniz did manage a sixth in the 81st minute, Alinordi was central to the goal, as the veteran striker juggled the ball from right to left foot before guiding a shot just inside the far post.

There was no doubt which team was on top now, Starfam Fc pushed hard for an equaliser through five minutes of injury time but this time Kroniz stood firm to hold onto the three points.

Prolific game at PTE Katok

4th: Kroniz celebrated a 3-0 win against Sutlan's Flight FT at PTE Katok field this afternoon. Attendance for kroniz was disappointing this afternoon when kroniz have to play the game with nine players for the first 10 minutes. They managed to hold SFFT at bay until reinforcement arrived.

It was the first game of the season with the new jersey for Sulaiman, Pg Asmale and Roslan. Their returned to the game is welcome breather for Kroniz. The dependable defender Sulaiman partnering with Alinordi in the center of defense played with commanding integrity.

It was just the result kroniz was looking for to avenged their lost in the previous game.

Kroniz almost took the lead a couple of times but Yazid and Bob just couldn't converted the chances.

SFFT responded as well but Kroniz keeper Jul diverted SFFT effort to safety a couple of times as well.

Kroniz finally made the breakthrough in the 25th minute with Yazid after skipping into the area following a one-two with Bob before finding the corner of the goal with his effort. Kroniz lead the first half 1-0.

In the second half, Kroniz continued their fine performance and was rewarded with a second goal this time by Roslan after he had linked up with Aliuddin.

Kroniz continued to turn the screw and Aliuddin made space for himself in the let lose a low shot beating SFFT goalkeeper.

Given how prolific kroniz had been in the match there were gasps of astonishment around the ground when they just couldn't score more goals.

28th: Kebajikan Team registered victory over kroniz from two goals in the second half at Kebajikan field tonight.

Kebajikan opened the scoring after sixty-four minutes and then another struck late in the second half.

Kroniz enjoyed a fair share of possession but lacked a cutting edge as they suffered their first defeat in a marathon of games of three games in four days.

Kroniz had picked up only four points from the three matches with a win, a draw and a lost.

Kroniz looked the more threatening throughout the 90 minutes with surging run forward from the back to good effect. Kroniz were well marshalled in defence by skipper Nizam and were a constant threat on the counter-attack.

Kroniz almaost got off to a dream start in the rainswept conditions with Alinordi putting in ball in the net in the first half after he pounced on the loose ball but the referee called for an offside. The first half ended 0-0.

In the second half the tried legs of kroniz players finally showed them that they cannot sustained aggressive games and let in two simple goals.

Missing play makers in the middle of the field kroniz seldom threatened to salvage anything tangible from the match.

26hb: Kroniz's ambitions of maintaining their winning ways suffered an untimely blow as CHL Family Team ended their winning form in the last game in a draw at UBD field tonight.

Despite dominating two-thirds of the match Kroniz failed to press home to their advantage.

Hamdan impressed once again, extending his remarkable goal scoring spree, but at the other end Jul's goal was breached in the 60th minute when CHL striker prodded home from close range.

However, another positive note for Kroniz was the ability of ageing players to display a game full of energy, invention and determination against a much younger CHL FT side.

Had Kroniz enjoyed more fortune they would have won the match, having had Alinordi shot in the 80th minutes not miss the goal mouth after a solo run only the keeper to beat.

CHL FT, to give them credit, enjoyed a good spell only 20 minutes after the interval which culminated in their goal. .

But the CHL goalkeeper could do nothing about Kroniz's opener in the 2nd minute as Hamdan continued his scoring run.

Aming's cross from the left byline was partially deflected but only as far as Hamdan 6 yards out and he smashed home a right-foot shot.

CHL were in danger of being overwhelmed as Kroniz continued to find space in and around their penalty area, blazing over from range on one occasion.

The closest CHL came to producing a response was when CHL winger fired in a low free-kick which Rosli claimed easily late in the first half.

Kroniz showed no signs of fading in second match in two day but Kroniz's inability to seize complete control and score a second gave the CHL hope and the threat of an equaliser turned into a reality in the 60th minute.

Temper flares in the second half as both team keep pushing against each other and the game was stopped for a few minutes after an incident involving Aming and CHL defender.

Kroniz's defenders Alinordi, Kucang and Metussin lead by Nizam continued to impress with their resolute form.

25th Feb: After two weeks without any game due to national commitments of Mauiud Nabi and Brunei National Day, Kroniz showed up all fired up for today game at SMSAB artificial field.

Bob scored his first hat-trick of the season as Kroniz turned in a five-star performance to demolish Lambak Fc.

The prolific Kroniz players scored 10 goals their first since 1995 set up.

More importantly for Kroniz it build up confidence as other players also finding the net ahead of tomorrow night game against CHL Family FC from Tutong at UBD field.

Kroniz will be looking forward to tomorrow game knowing just how much damage they are capable of inflicting.

It has been said so often Kroniz are way below their best this season that it is almost accepted truth.

Five-goals in the first-half salvo gave lie to the theory as the Lambak Fc were pummelled from every angle.

However it took almost 20 minutes before Kroniz scored the first goal by Alinordi. That goal settled Kroniz and scored two more goals by Hj Fendi and Bob before Lambak pulled one back. Two more goals followed with Bob and Pg Eddy to end the first half 5-1.

Going into the second half Kroniz now appear to strangle the life out of opponents, tightening their grip mercilessly once an advantage has been established.

The method is not foolproof, as Lambak fc pulled another this time a mistake by Kroniz defender Yazid to deflect an own goal.

But Kroniz are pretty good at exerting their power and Kroniz profited from enterprising flurry of attacks, it was no surprise when they scored again.

This is the game not to forget, goalscoring wise, for Kroniz is having the time of their life.

Over and over again, precise passes driving through the heart Lambak's defence, Kroniz offering their strikers spaces to run wild.

9th Feb: Aming and Hamdan ensured a compelling contest with DPMM Fc management Team in a six-goal thriller at Jerudong Mini Stadium Tuesday night.

DPMM Mgt made much the better start and they rocked Kroniz back on their heels by taking the lead with just fourteen minutes gone.

Aming cancelled out DPMM's fourteen-minute opener when gradually worked his way into an advanced position and characteristically shot at the far post beyond the reach of Dpmm keeper as he dived.

Dpmm's made amends when in 23rd-minute their strikers made several pass in the penalty box and calmly slipped the ball past the advancing Kroniz keeper to lead again.

There was no let-up as Kroniz's in a determined fashion, passing and moving confidently to retain possession and put the home side on the back foot. Midfielder Hamdan picked up possession on halfway and he made his way towards the penalty area before cutting inside and blasting a swerving shot past the wrong-footed Dpmm's keeper to equalize 2-2.

In the second half DPMM step up their game by introducing their younger players and were making the better use of their possession and taken the lead again twice.

Dpmm's third goal when of the resulting free-kick and the striker drilled a cheeky left-foot shot into the bottom corner with Kroniz;s keeper helpless behind his defensive wall.

Kroniz's were dropping ever deeper as Dpmm turned the screw and were in rampant mood to kill the game off. Kroniz keeper and defenders had to worked hard as they tried to held out to keep themselves in the match as the clock ran down.

Dpmm went even closer from the resulting corner when their striker headed on a cross and Kroniz's defenders threw themselves at the ball and orange reinforcements arrived in numbers.

Kroniz were indebted to the woodwork twice when Dpmm shots beat the keeper but hit both posts and ran safe.

Dpmm's were tireless in their pursuit of a fourth goal, when Dpmm striker struck in stoppage time to turn a fourth home a beautiful cross.

The game ended with 2 - 4 lost for Kroniz.

28th Jan: Hamdan was gifted a double and Bob another as Kronizs ended their misery in the last game after coming from behind to beat BIA FC 3-1 at SM SAB astro turf.

Ending the first half 0-0, BIA Fc made an immediate impact in the second half when they lead the game after some confusion in the penalty box.

Kronizs were looking dangerous in their attacked through out the game, reminded themselves to believe and didn't crumple after that goal.

The equalizer came when BIA Fc failed to clear a corner and aripin shot was going wide, intercepted by Bob to score the first goal,

After that goal, Kronizs began playing keep-ball as the game progressed and Hamdan tested BIA keeper from distance five minutes later to doubled Kroniz's' lead. A few excellent crosses by Znal failed to connect properly with kroniz players from six yards in their effort to finished off the game.

BIA Fc defence was looking less than solid in the dying minutes as kroniz took advantage and Hamdan once again stretched to shoot at an angle it beyond BIA keeper from six yards.

With BIA already beaten and Kroniz had the luxury of slowing the pace of the game until the final whistle. Kroniz win 3-1.

Frustrating game at SM Rimba

25th Jan: Kroniz Fc unable to maintained a single goal lead with the resurgence in the second-half by battling Veteran FC at SM Rimba Astro turfs field. Veteran Fc players are ex Brunei International players lead by Lee Chuan Fu their most experienced defender for Brunei 1999 team.

Kronizs unable to pulled together the determination at last weekend's uplifting draw with SPSS FC in impressive fashion.

Alinordi marked his return to the striker role by scoring a goal however Kroniz finished in nervy fashion and Veteran FC hung on to win 1-2.

Kroniz looked composed and threatening for large spells but the players unable to transformed the possession into more goals.

Kronizs had a couple of opportunity to finished off the game before Veteran Fc began to assert themselves in the last 10 minutes. Veteran FC did not give up the fight and pulled two goal back 10 minutes from time, although the first did require a huge slice of luck as the ball bounce higher than the keeper anticipated.

Kronizs kept Veteran Fc under late pressure but they could not force the equaliser. The game ended a lost 1-2 and the only goal scored by Alinordi.

16hb Jan: Kroniz Fc let SPSS Fc off the hook as kronizs showed determination and gut to prevent SPSS men from winning in a rain soaked pitch at Kebajikan Field.

It was almost a disaster for kronizs as only 13 players turned up for the match against SPSS Fc the premier security guard company in Brunei known for the fitness and toughness. Kronizs were behind twice but managed to clawed back into the game and feel points were dropped in the tightest of match..

SPSS led 1-0, in the 25th minute as a call for offside by kroniz defenders went on deaf ears by the referee to play on as the Kroniz defense believed two players were offside. With determination Kronizs played on and managed to equalized with Yazid's solo run and dribbling to fend of three SPSS defenders to slot home the equalizing goal.

Kronizs experienced defenders anchoring by Matussin played well to keep SPSS attackers at bay. In their hard worked, Alinordi desperate attempt to win the ball awarded SPSS a penalty which they wasted no chance to lead again 1-2 giving SPSS an advantage into the second half.

Perhaps the changes in the second half with kronizs youngsters heartened Kroniz because they started off in spirited fashion and had SPSS Fc rocking on their heels.

In the 53th minute Bob broke swiftly on the edge of SPSS box and took it himself shot pass flatfooted SPSS goalkeeper to equalized 2-2.

The goal seemed to breathe life into Kroniz to tightened the grip on the game and still looked capable of causing problems for SPSS.

Having played so well, and frustrated SPSS Fc the game ended 2-2.

Season first win with a bang

9th Jan: Kroniz reminded RBA Club FC that there is more than one striker on Kroniz's list as Kroniz pushed RBA Club FC deep into trouble at kebajikan Soccer Field. Kroniz had arrived for the game determined to make amend for the first lost of the season.

It didn't start well for Kroniz as RBA Club Fc tall and experienced players managed to broke through Kroniz defences to lead 0-1. After that goal kroniz players woke up and played much better passing game.

Their effort was rewarded when a corner kick by Pg Eddy was headed a close range by Dodoi to level the score.

RBA Club Fc keep on pushing Kroniz and for a second time managed to overcome the offside trap a score a second goal.

Roslan, making his first appearance put kroniz in the driving seat when he stamp his authority in the midfield battle as Kroniz looked for a way back into the match.

Defender Jamri overlapping run passed up a glorious opportunity to Pg Eddy who wasted no chance to beat the keeper to level the score 2-2.

There was an air of anxiety in the second half when Nasrin justify his selection as a striker when he ran with the ball and thump it into the bottom corner for kroniz to lead for the first time in the game.

RBA Club Fc's woes deepened markedly on the 80th when once again a corner kick found the head of Aliuddin to flick it to Hamdan for him to strike it sweetly first timer for the forth goal.

Despite RBA Club Fc's continuing industry, they were unable to create anything of note, and Kroniz killed off any hope of a fightback with a late goal in injury time when Hamdan found space down the left and sent in a low cross to Pg Eddy who just stab in from two yards out for the fifth goal.

Kroniz ended the game with a first win of the season 5 - 2.

No fireworks for the start of 2011

5th Jan: Hamdan's last-gasp strike at RBA field was not enough for Kroniz to secure a point in their first game of the season.

RBA Flight Operation pounced on kroniz from the start of the game to lead ahead in the first half with a goal.

Kroniz playing away were slow to get out of the blocks and were at no mercy from RBAFO players. Their players has too much pace for kroniz defence to handle.

In the second half Kroniz seemed settled with the pressure and emerged from the break looking determined to find an equaliser, but then an error by Kroniz defender saw RBAFO to score another goal.

Kroniz then tried to get a grip on the match however were not fortunate to score more goal.

The game ended with first lost of the season 1-2 to RBA Flight Operation.

Ending 2010 with a Win

26th Dec: Kroniz Fc survived a second-half fightback from Jabatan Laut to claim a thrilling 4-2 victory at Kebajikan Field.

Kronizs looked to be cruising to victory after dominating the opening 45 minutes and netting through Aliuddin, Gnal and Dodoi.

In the second half, Bob posed more of a threat and showing his potential by scoring another goal.

It enabled Kronizs to end an unhappy week on a high note after the destruction by ABDB Sixers last week.

However, Kroniz exposed their soft under belly which allowed Jabatan Laut to drew first blood to lead 1-0 and struck another before half time.

After the first goal Kronizs played some superb flowing football with Dodoi, Aliuddin and Gnal a constant threat.

Nizam was the creator of the first goal with a perfectly weighted pass to leave Aliuddin free and he made no mistake as he drilled his shot into Jabatan Laut goal.

Jabatan laut midfield was being by-passed by the quality passing and movement of kroniz's side.

Kroniz continued to dominate and Jabatan Laut were being pulled apart almost at will as Dodoi broke through Jabatan Laut defense before crossing it to the unmarked Gnal to slot home the second goal.

But it was no surprise when Gnal returned the favor as he picked the ball up on the left and cut inside and past the challenge of Jabatan Laut defense and returned the passes to Dodoi before he firing a low shot into the far corner of the net.

Jabatan Laut tried to get a foothold in the match and jabatan laut striker had to be alert with a dangerous cross from the overlapping defender to scored a second goal.

The first half ended with kroniz leading 3-2.

Jabatan Laut were transformed after their ineffective first-half performance but in the 66th minute Bob restored Kroniz's two goal advantage when Bob's dangerous, inswinging shot found it's way to the unmarked inside of the post.

But Kronizs looked nervy when Jabatan Laut ventured forward in a tense finish and managed to hold on to the win.

Ending 2010 with a win, Kronizs don't have time to rest and celebrate as the first game in 2011 will be on the Tuesday, 4th January against RBA Flight Operation at RBA Soccer Stadium. See you in 2011.

Tales of two halves

17 Dec: Sixer Fc of ABDB joined the few team in Brunei to demolished Kroniz fc at a game played at Berakas Kem Mini Stadium friday afternoon since Kroniz Fc was formed in 1995. The ABDB men powering themselves with their fitness scoring seven goals in the first half.

The first goal was magical for Kroniz as Asri, Releasing a through ball by Aliuddin, he collected the pass, sprint pass by a few ABDB defenders then sprayed a fabulous ball to defeat the keeper for Kroniz to lead 1-0. After that goal Kroniz's defence meltdown to the extend that ABDB men managed to score seven goals. It was a deflating experience for Kroniz, as all their pre-match planning went up in smoke.

Having called for an improvement in performance, in the second half Kroniz finally rid themselves of the shackles that have halted their progress and played a beautiful game and managed to drowned ABDB Sixer. If ABDB men thought they had got off lightly and able to score more goals, they was sadly mistaken as Kroniz scored the only goal in the second half by Bob's header.

Although kroniz lost the game but the players are delighted at the forceful manner with which they approached their task especially in the second half.

More importantly, it sent them powering to believe and never gave up, giving a significant boost to their confidence in potentially pivotal ability to go against the best. Understandably, Kroniz saw no reason to celebrate with the final score 2-7 to ABDB Sixer Fc.

Winning is never easy

12 Dec: Yazid two goals and Bob another combined to hand Kroniz a win against Buruh Fc at Kebajikan Field Sunday afternoon to reign the Brunei soccer scene.

In the first half both team played well however just couldn't find the net which ended 0-0.

In the second half, Yazid, another kroniz youngster, had got Kroniz off to the perfect start in the second half with a solo run and a 55th-minute opener, The opening goal may have been fashioned on Kroniz, but it did not go to the men in orange as two Kronizs combined to open the door.

The pair combined to great effect on the 2nd half when Bob blasted in a low drive from Yazid lay off which forced the ball into the net for Kroniz to lead 2-0.

In the meantime, Kroniz Fc defenders had been in the right place at the right time to keep out Buruh attacked but an attacked in the 75th minutes a Buruh player headed a corner across the face of goal to close the gap to 2-1.

Buruh Fc looked to have snatched a point for the visitors when a 82th-minute penalty given to Buruh after Nizam's challange an attacked by Buruh player. However the shot was saved by keeper Rosli. Rosli was a busy man through the second half with saved after saved to earned him player of the match.

In the 85 minutes, Kroniz's free-kick was floated perfectly to the far post for Alinordi to win a muscular challenge with Buruh defender and head down for Yazid to fire home his second goal of the game from close range.

The sense of unity fostered by Kroniz during the game was there for all to see as a lot of players are available for selection compare to the last game.The game ended 3-1 to Kroniz FC.

5th Dec: Selamat Tahun baru Hijrah. Kroniz Fc and Seal Fc shared the spoils in the match at Berakas Mini Stadium.

But this was a match lacking in quality and will not remain long in the memory.

Kroniz Fc overcrowded the midfield employing one out and out striker since in the first half only ten players available.

Seal Fc finished the stronger of the two teams and it would have been harsh on Kroniz to end up with nothing.

Seal Fc looked the more composed on the ball through out the game and kroniz defended in numbers to keep Seal players any roaming space. Kroniz keepers played well to saved a least ten shot on goals.

In the 2nd half Seal Fc had strong appeals for a penalty rejected when the ball appeared to hit the lower arm of Bab but they were waved away by the referee.

Rosli came in the middle of the 2nd half to completed the team. With the full players available Kroniz managed to counter attacked however missed the chance because of lack of communication between Bob and Asri.

The referee somehow managed to hear the Azan and decided to blow the whistle. The game ended 0-0.

A game that could never be won

RIPAS FC scored late in the second half to completed an amazing comeback to beat Kroniz FC at Kebajikan Field in a flooded field during a heavy thunderstorm.

An incident-packed match looked certain to end in a 2-2 draw after Hamdan and Aming netted at both ends.

Several other clear-cut chances went begging for kroniz in the first half before Hamdan scored in the 25th minute. Kroniz will rue the chances available as RIPAS staged a late comeback to win 3-2.

They suffered a late blow late in the 2nd half when Dodoi failed to score a penelty to tied the game 3-3.

In the game, Hamdan put Kroniz ahead when Gnal spilt RIPAS defence with a sweet pass to Bob and flick it Hamdan to leave him with an open goal to make it 1-0.

It was frantic stuff as Kroniz controlled the game but suffered a blow when RIPAS equalised just before the 1st half ended to tied it 1-1 at halftime.

In the second half RIPAS snatched the lead when the referee refused an offside trap by Kroniz players to lead 2-1.

Incredibly, again Bob sent Aming clean through and without hesitation scored with a tight angle to tie the game 2-2.

But Kroniz were unlucky as again the referee failed to spot an offside by RIPAS player and his vicious shot somehow found the net to lead 3-2.

Late in the game kroniz player went down in the box but Dodoi missed the penalty.

Nasrin kroniz's young guns scored twice at the newly build SM Menteri Soccer pitch with daunting match against Veteran Football Team (VFT). VFT repersented by Brunei's 80's national team such as Ukoi Enam, Nordin Tujoh and others, played a hard game on the artificial pitch.

Kroniz weathered a first-half hammering for the first 45 action-packed minutes it seemed as if the points were destined for VFT as they bombarded the Kroniz goal. However Kronizs' defences hold out the bombardment and ended the first half 0-0.

Zainal came into the team in the second half and brought variety and pace to Kroniz attack that was so sorely missing in the first half. (Part ani saja kan becerita)

VFT snatching the lead with Ukoi enam goal fourteen minutes after the restart as Kroniz's called for offside was ignored by the referee.

Never say die attitude of kroniz players today deserved praises as Nasrin planted a near-post shot past VFT keeper to give kroniz the lifeline to tie the game 1-1.

Five minutes after that goal Nasrin again broke through VFT defence after some more slack defending and shot at an angle to beat VFT keeper.

Pressing hard VFT could not make it count and Kroniz punished them ruthlessly. This time Asri solo run beat VFT defenders and latched on cleaver pass from midfield and shot directly at goal to finished off the game with kroniz third.

Late night jamming cause for defeat?

20th Nov: Kroniz went down fighting as they battled back from two down but still lost to Moe Senior at Kebajikan Field this Sunday afternoon. Moe Senior looked to be cruising with two goals one from each half.

But Nasrin pulled one back with 30 minutes to go and incessant kroniz pressure in the second half paid off when Bob levelled the score line to 2-2 however and Moe Senior when ahead with the simplest of goal and put the icing on the cake with a late fourth.

In this game Kroniz seem to be tired after a late saturday night jamming were simply giving moe senior too much space. But it was Moe Senior's day and they made sure of the three points. Final score Kroniz 2 Moe Senior 4

Lost despite rousing dispaly of football

Kroniz, conquerors of the previous three games, had to settle for second best at Jerudong Mini Stadium against DPMM Management Football Team despite a rousing display of football.

Trailing 1-0 kroniz scored the equalizer and by half time the score was 3-3. Kroniz lead again 5 minutes into the second half to 3-4 until the last 15 minutes thanks to Dodoi who scored all the goals.

However DPMM MFT stepped into another gear and pile the pressure to seal victory in the last 15 minutes to end the game 6 -4 with fine effort from players like Pg Salehuddin, Ali momin, Momin jaffar and others who were the heros in 1999 Malaysia Cup Champion and 2005 S League Champions.

Kroniz have never achieved a victory at DPMM ground and DPMM MFT were good value for their victory, Manager Bab will wonder how they failed to build on their famous lead and scored four goals against DPMM MFT.

Certainly kroniz missed a lot of players who fail to turn up, suffering from injuries or personal business.

Dodoi, who was outstanding through out the game made history with scoring four goals against DPMM MFT.

Excellent domination for third win

Kroniz's winning ways continued against SM Lumapas FC as a brace from Nasrin and another from Dodoi kept their undefeated run to three games. SM Lumapas player score a late effort was scant consolation for the away side.

Bab's team domination of this match began as early as the fifth minute when kroniz fast attacking style of play caught SM Lumapas defenders by surprise and Dodoi a young Kroniz signing made no mistake in his solo effort beating a SM Lumapas defender and sent a low shot beyond the reach of the keeper.

SM Lumapas almost equalised moments later when a SM Lumapas striker thundering shot at a close-range tried to be blocked by Pyan however his sliding blocking was a few second late and the ball went straight at goal. Another new signing goal keeper Hj Radzi quick reflection action manage to deflect the ball over the goal post.

Kroniz's Nizam went close to grabbing a few goals but his shots was deflected around the post and the crossbar, much to the relief of the SM Lumapas Keeper.

Kroniz went 2-0 up in the 2nd minute, of the second half, when Nasrin another Kroniz young signing manage to sent a curling shot on the target over the head of the stricken SM Lumapas keeper after cutting in from the left wing.

Kroniz made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute when Nasrin again collected a fine pass from Alinordi fired from the edge of the penalty area as Kroniz continued to dominate proceedings.

SM Lumapas pulled one back in the 80th minute when they beat the Kroniz's offside trap and the unmarked striker drive from close range slammed into Kroniz's goal.

A resolute win for Kroniz

Kroniz got their 2010 campaign back on track with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Belantara FC (SM Rimba).

Kroniz took a shock lead through Yazid after 23 minutes after he failed to make the most of early goal scoring opportunities. Nazrin slotted home a well-taken effort two minutes after the restart to make it 2- 0.

Kroniz were also presented other golden opportunity, such as on 20 minutes when a soft back pass from midfielder Metusin in his own penalty area gifted Kucang a free shot at goal from 10 yards, but the left-back dragged his shot wide of the far post. Manager Bab had called on his team to produce a strong response from kick-off and commanding the defense to denied Belantara Fc any space following some resolute defending.

Kroniz goalkeeper Julaihi had not really been troubled, but needed to be alert to collect an inadvertent shot from Belantara Fc, which was set for the top corner, after a free-kick into the kroniz box.

Belantara Fc, however, continued to look dangerous from set-pieces and it was no real surprise when Belantara Fc scored with a well taken header to close the gap. The game ended with back to back win for kroniz 2-1

KRONIZ goal galore

It was a truly deserved win for KroniZ FC this time around. The opponent was the PADU team from RBAirF and from the looks of their team members it looked like it was going to be another upset loss for KroniZ FC after learning that the visitors are Brunei high sky jumpers.

KroniZ FC saw the reintroduction of several players who have just came back from overseas training notably Matusin and Ji Fendi. Despite the absence of MGM and GM, team Kroniz got off to a wonderful start of leading 2-0 in the first 20 minutes by Dodoi and Aliuddin. PADU FC managed to score a goal right after the second Kroniz goal and players were wondering whether this was to be another upset to the end. However Kroniz played with determination and score three more goals from Dodoi, Nasrin (the other anak buah Gnal) and Awang ending the first half 5-1.

In the second half of the game, KroniZ FC made a surprising change of 7 players, a record since the days playing at Jerudong Football Field to keep up the tempo with the high flying opponents. With the mass changes of players there were also mass headache and lead to PUDU scoring two more goals. The second half keeper worked hard with fast saves and help of the upright to keep the goals down. Final score for the spirited new KroniZ FC 5 - 3 PADU FC.

Kroniz in crisis - AGM tells it all

Tonight's AGM meeting will decide the future of Kroniz. Since 1995 tonight's AGM is of importance due to the Liverpool-like financial crisis that may also put the team into administration and being sold although no points are to be deducted. However with due diligent and "nada sadarkan diri" attitude kroniz's administration and players decided to take matters into their own hand to overcome the obstacle.

To continue the Kroniz legacy the following were put as agenda during the meeting:

- Food for the meeting (main agenda)
- Players list
- New Jersey
- Funding for new season.
- Jamming session
- Others

The meeting didn't start normally as just it was about to start someone talked about taking a bite of the appetising food prepared and it caused a chain reaction with everyone starting to eat and drink... to the delight of everybody, what initially thought to be the last meeting thinking it was curtains for the team, turned out to be a revival with new spirits and hopefully new sponsors. The seriousness of the matter led to a five hours meeting and discussion starting at 8pm and ended at 1am.

The meeting did went on as planned as the following team members were appointed in a secret voting process:

It was decided that the annual fee is $100.00 per year to be paid every January commencing January 2011.

It was also decided that players will need to pay $40 for the new jersey and another $20 for membership fees for November and December 2010. These payments need to be done after the next pay day (End of October). Kroniz young players will be sponsored by the team until they are able to fend for themselves.

It was also agreed that players are needed to update their details (including car registration number, date of birth, address and contact numbers) through the club's website for future use. K18 will create a link on the website for this purpose.

All appointments are effective as of October 16, 2010.

The meeting ended with a recital of Al-Fatihah and Al-Asr to bless the meeting.

Kroniz self-destruct in the last two games

6hb Oct UBD : Kroniz unable to stop MOF BAG players in agame of inconsistency and strong winds. in the first half, Kroniz play well with only 9 players in the first quarter of the hour but unfortunately Kroniz failed to sustain their performance and ended trailing 2-0 at the end of the first half.

The second half proved more challenging as KroniZ tried to win back the game but strong winds and unlucky shots on goal managed to hit the goals posts more. Yazid the young striker managed to win back a goal for the Kroniz team and further attempts to win more goals proved unsuccesful..

Kroniz 1-2 MOF BAG

The recent game was played on the synthethic field of SM SMJA on the night of 11 Oct 2010 against the SMJA team. Initially the team was the stronger team managing to control the game despite the young opponents who seemed hunger for the ball. Alas, it proved that the players were not the culprit of three goals led-in easily but the goalkeeper who seemed just awoke from sleep.

Despite the unfamiliar playing turf and night, Kroniz were determined not to let the scoreline and history has proven that Kroniz can create an upset. Yazid was injured during the game and caused concerned for the team. Hopefully his injuries is not as bad and can still play for Kroniz. But disaster seemed to stick with Kroniz for this season and further let in two more goals. Hamdan managed to save face by scoring a goal for the team...

ZURICH - FIFA suspended the Nigerian Football Federation for government interference on Monday, almost certainly preventing the country from taking part in qualifying for the African Cup of Nations this weekend.
Several developments led to Fifa imposing the suspension, including court actions against elected members of the NFF executive committee, the federation's general secretary stepping down on orders from the government-run National Sports Commission, and the decision of the sports minister to start the Nigerian Premier League without relegation from the previous season.
Fifa rules prohibit government interference with national football governing bodies. Nigeria had been due to play in Guinea in its second qualifier in Group B in the African Cup on Sunday.
Fifa says the suspension will last until 'the duly elected NFF executive committee is able to work without any interference,' meaning none of the country's teams are allowed to take part in any competition 'regional, continental or international.' The NFF's acting general secretary told The Associated Press that Fifa's move 'should not come as a surprise.'
'At least we are now conversant with the expectation of Fifa,' Emmanuel Ikpeme said. 'The only thing that bothers me, like any other Nigerian, is that the action they have taken will affect football in this country.'
Nigeria's federation was threatened with a similar ban in July when the country's president, Goodluck Jonathan, said he would pull the national team out of competition because of its poor showing at the World Cup in South Africa. Mr Jonathan eventually backed down following an ultimatum from Fifa. 1hb Oct Kebajikan Field: Kroniz produced an inspired performance as they demolished Kg Madang FC to put their push for an end to the Hari raya blues with a resounding victory. Kroniz' youngsters scored four goals - Dodoi (2), Yazid and Nazrin- and alinordi scored one himself to put the icing on the cake. Kroniz was in unstoppable form with their power and aerial dominance and made it a miserable day for Kg Madang FC.

Kroniz looked lively and full of positive intent after losing from their previous three matches. But the Kg Madang FC were not to be denied and went ahead after 15 minutes of the game. However Kroniz kept their cool and quickly regained their rhythm and retaliate with five unstoppable goals. With kroniz now in full control all Kg madang FC could do is to hold on the challenge hoping for the final whistle.

Kroniz vs Laksamana College

It was the first game for the oranges after the weight-gaining festivity of Hari Raya. Before the game started, Kroniz players greeted each other with greetings of Hari Raya. With the referee arriving late, Kroniz players were concern not about how many goals would be scored by the opponent but whether there were enough time to warm themselves up.

With the first blow of the whistle, the Laksamana boys were the energetic ones, obviously due to their age, youth and vigour. They rushed to get the ball but surprisingly Kroniz managed to subdue their passing and play. Kroniz had more chances in front of goal but opted not to score but to display prowess.

With one attack, Laksamana college score a goal to stake their claim as the better team but KroniZ showed why age is not a factor by scoring and equalising seconds after the restart with Nasrin.

the second half again proved to be Kroniz game leading the admirals 2-1, this time Dodoi manage to put the ball in the net. But after making changes to the team, KroniZ gave away two easy goals for the opponent to lead the game...

3. Rakaat Sembahyang Tarawih:
a) Pada umumnya masyarakat Islam di Malaysia mendirikan sembahyang Tarawih ini sebanyak 20 rakaat, tetapi ada juga yang hanya menunaikan sekadar 8 rakaat sahaja.
b) Pada zaman Rasulullah s.a.w. sembahyang Tarawih dikerjakan sebanyak 8 rakaat saja supaya tidak menimbulkan sesuatu keberatan.
c) Pada zaman Khalifah Umar bin Al-Khattab pula beliau menambah lagi menjadikan 20 rakaat kerana beliau berpendapat bahawa orang-orang Islam pada zamannya itu tidak keberatan lagi menunaikan sembahyang sebanyak itu.
d) Sembahyang Terawih hendaklah ditunaikan dua rakaat, pada tiap-tiap satu kali takbiratul-ihram kemudiannya dilakukan lagi sehingga genap rakaat yang dikehendaki.

Puasa pada bulan Ramadhan adalah rukun Islam yang keempat yang wajib dilaksanakan oleh umat Islam yang telah cukup syarat-syaratnya. Puasa ialah menahan diri dari makan dan minum dan perkara-perkara yang membatalkan puasa, mulai dari terbit fajar sadiq sehingga terbenam matahari. Namun bagi mencapai kesempurnaan berpuasa kita hendaklah juga memelihara telinga, mata, lidah, tangan dan kaki serta anggota badan yang lain dari melakukan segala perbuatan maksiat.

Puasa hanya sah dilakukan jika ia disertai dengan niat berpuasa, waktu berniat puasa Ramadhan itu ialah setelah terbenam matahari dan sebelum terbit fajar sadiq. Jika niat itu dilakukan setelah terbit fajar atau sebaya dengan terbit fajar, maka puasa itu tidak sah.

Manakala lafaz niat puasa ialah : Nawaitu Sauma Ghadin An Ada'i Fardi Ramadhana Hazihis Sanati Lillahi Ta'ala yang ertinya : Sahaja aku berpuasa esok hari bulan Ramadhan pada tahun ini kerana Allah Ta'ala.

Niat berbuka puasa :

allahumma laka somtu wa bika aamantu wa ‘alaa rizqika afthartu birahmatika ya arhamarrohimin

Maksudnya: “Ya Allah bagi Engkau aku berpuasa dan dengan Engkau beriman aku dengan rezeki Engkau aku berbuka dengan rahmat Engkau wahai yang Maha Pengasih dan Penyayang”.

It was the last game for Kroniz Fc before taking a long break for the Ramadhan fasting month. The game was against DPMM Mgt, a team almost everybody knew in Brunei.

But for Kroniz FC, it wasn't a team to be feared but a team to be enjoyed playing with. The number of games with this elegant management team proved the cordial ties KroniZ possess with them.

In terms of last night's game, KroniZ FC managed to give the home team a game they will not forget just before Puasa. The number of lightning on-target strikes proved that Kroniz does have the sting albeit unable to score in the first half. With all the wit and experience of DPMM Mgt, the home team only managed an easy goal in the first half of the game.

Then in the second half of the hot and unwindy weather, KroniZ Fc managed to steal the limelight of the game by scoring a goal to equalised. The quick exchanges of passes found Arch who side-footed to send the ball into the upper left corner of the goal leaving the tall DPMM Mgt keeper gasping to reach the ball.

As the long night continued coupled with the ever tiring old feet of the visiting team, DPMM managed to score two more goals. The retiring of Aming proved disastrous and led to two quick goals scored by the home team's fastest player Helmi Long.

With cramps and sprains looming, time soon ran out and the referee blew the whistle and ended the game..

JOHANNESBURG — The Ivory Coast forward cried out in apparent agony, covered his face with his hands and dropped to the turf with a thud in the waning minutes of his team’s 3-1 loss to Brazil on Sunday at the World Cup.

The forward, Abdul Kader Keïta, was not hit with the ball or slapped across the face or punched, just bumped by the Brazilian star Kaká, who did little more than shrug, sticking his right elbow into Keïta’s chest.

That was all it took for Keïta to fall to the turf as if he had been doused with pepper spray.

The referee punished Kaká with a yellow card, his second of the game, forcing his ejection and leaving his team a man down for the rest of the game.

Many who saw the replay wondered whether Keïta’s fall was the tournament’s latest example of what officials call simulation. Much of the flopping, flailing and falling in soccer is little more than diving to the turf in an effort to dupe the referee.

If successful, the diver could be awarded an unimpeded kick from the point of the infraction or, if it occurs in the penalty area in front of the goal, a penalty kick from 12 yards.

Fans are already seeing as much bad playacting as tricky dribbling during the World Cup in South Africa, despite efforts by FIFA, the sport’s world governing body, to punish divers. Some of the best players in the world crumple under imaginary contact to win a penalty, or writhe in seeming pain to run the clock down or give their teammates a breather.

“I wish it wasn’t part of the game,” said Paul Tamberino, the director of referee development for U.S. Soccer. “Players will do whatever they can.”

In his first game of the tournament, the German midfielder Mesut Özil tumbled as if gnomes hiding in the grass at Durban Stadium had tied his shoelaces together during his team’s opening game against Australia last week. An innocuous challenge from a defender did not seem enough to send him to the ground. Indeed, no foul was called. Instead, for his ruse, Özil was punished with a yellow card.

Özil’s tumble and Keita’s pantomime did not affect the outcome of either game; Germany and Brazil easily won their matches. But with so few games, and with goals at a premium at this World Cup (1.97 goals per game through the first 29 games, well below the low-water mark of 2.21 in 1990), an erroneously awarded penalty or unjust suspension could prove decisive.

In the Round of 16 at the World Cup in Germany four years ago, Italy and Australia were tied, 0-0, in added time. Italy’s Fabio Grosso rushed into the Australia penalty area and doubled over the lunging defender Lucas Neill. Italy was awarded a penalty kick, converted it for a 1-0 victory and went on to win the title. The penalty kick eliminated Australia.

“When he slid in, maybe I accentuated a little bit,” Grosso told Football Plus magazine in the spring. “I felt the contact, so I went down.”

According to FIFA’s Laws of the Game, “attempts to deceive the referee by feigning injury or pretending to have been fouled” are punishable by a yellow card. But it can be difficult at full speed, with only the naked eye and no video replay to consult, for a referee to spot the difference between a foul and a phantom.

The referee Koman Coulibaly whistled a foul in favor of United States forward Jozy Altidore in the 85th minute of the Americans’ 2-2 tie with Slovenia on Friday — awarding a free kick that led to a controversial disallowed goal — but replays showed that minimal contact occurred before Altidore crashed to the ground. Players know they are more likely to get away with it and tacitly condone the practice.

“Personally, I’m against any type of simulation; I don’t think it should be part of the game,” Alessandro Del Piero, a teammate of Grosso’s, said recently, before adding: “It went in Italy’s favor and I was happy. If it went against us, I would be upset.”

Del Piero and his countrymen were indeed upset in 2002 when Italy was knocked out of the World Cup in South Korea by the host team after Francesco Totti was ejected for a second yellow card after disingenuously trying to earn a free kick.

Referees say that it is difficult to penalize a player for simulation because it is akin to calling him dishonest.

“If you’re going to give a caution for simulation and there is contact,” Tamberino warned, “it has to be very obvious that he’s trying to cheat.”

Sometimes, simulation is so transparent that it more resembles vaudeville than world-class soccer.

In 2002, Rivaldo of Brazil was waiting to take a corner kick when Hakan Unsal of Turkey appeared to deliberately kick the ball at him when he was not looking. Rivaldo went down as if he had been shot, clutching his face, right in front of an assistant referee. Unsal was given a red card, signaling an ejection, but Rivaldo was embarrassed when video replay revealed his reaction to be an act. FIFA later fined him $7,350.

“Whether it be the big flop or the big groan, sometimes it’s comical,” Tamberino said. “You don’t like to laugh, but sometimes, you give a smile.”

Referees must be close to the play and have the right angle and clear vision to make the correct call. It requires good positioning and communication between the referee and his assistants, one on each sideline. Three years ago, FIFA started a referee assistance program to train officials to, among other things, spot dives. Before the World Cup, FIFA’s technical study committee provided referees and assistant referees with scouting reports, including video, that highlighted teams with a reputation for simulation.

Being a good diver may help a player get an occasional call, but when he earns a reputation as a cheat, it can be difficult to erase.

Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the fastest and most dangerous forwards, is often the target of deliberate fouls or the victim of overzealous defenders.

“Referees should protect the more skillful players when they are getting fouled by the opposition,” he said Tuesday after Portugal’s game with Ivory Coast. “Sometimes it is difficult for me when the referees give fouls because they think I dive.”

But they think that for good reason. Ronaldo was notorious for feigning when he was a young player. He was lethal on direct kicks, and he relished the chance to show off his ability to strike the ball from long range. But now that he has developed into one of the game’s most hardened players, who is often hacked mercilessly by slower, less-skilled defenders, he does not get many calls.

“They don’t protect talented footballers anymore,” said Carlos Queiroz, the coach of Portugal. “I’d like to see if the rules are the same for everybody.”

Players and referees say they know which players go down too easily, but they are reluctant to identify them.

“I’m anticipating all forwards are capable of doing that,” said the American defender Oguchi Onyewu, who at 6 feet 4 inches and 210 pounds is an easy mark for conniving forwards who exploit the perception that a bigger player fouls more often.

“I think referees are taking the proper measures now more so than in the past to eliminate that kind of exaggeration,” Onyewu said. “Giving the players themselves a card and not the defender.”

But defenders and forwards agree that diving will be hard to eradicate as long as players get away with it.

“You try to get the ref on your side and you hope that he can see through all of that,” said Jonathan Spector, a defender for the United States. “There’s only so much you can control in a game. The call was made. Just get on with it.” NY Times, 2010

Here's a little secret in the soccer world: No one really understands the offside rule. Not all the time, anyway. That became very clear during the first half of today's World Cup opener, when fans and pundits alike cried foul after the assistant referee lifted his flag just before Mexico's Carlos Vela slammed the ball into the net.

When showing replays, commentators pointed out and graphics demonstrated that there was a South Africa defender (it was Steven Pienaar, by the way) positioned on the back post, whom they claimed kept Vela onside.

It's true that Pienaar was there, and just behind Vela where he stood by the opposite post. But the relevant position was that of South Africa goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, not Pienaar. Khune had run off his line to try to intercept the corner kick, leaving Pienaar as the last defender in front of the goal.

The offside rule reads that a player is offside if he is "nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent" -- the last opponent typically being the goalkeeper. Usually when an attacking player runs past the "last defender," the goalkeeper remains in the net -- meaning the "last" defender is really the second-to-last defender.

In the case of Friday's game, the goalkeeper was not there behind the defense. The second Vela passed Khune in the middle of the box, he was offside, regardless of Pienaar's position at the post. It was an intelligent call from the referee and his assistant in a complicated demonstration of a complicated rule.

Battle ground Bolkiah kem drew 4-4

19th Jun: Four goals by Regimen Pasukan Khas (RPK) denied Kroniz Fc a win at Bolkiah kem when both teams drew 4-4.

Kroniz led 2-0 in the first half but in the second half felt behind 2-4 but managed to come back with two more goals to level the score.

Alinordi scored a hattrick and Arch scored the other but four goals from the RPK piled the pressure back on Kroniz and even two late goals were not enough to force victory.

Kroniz were architects of their own downfall as the four RPK goals came from lack of focus in the second half.

In the first half kroniz were content to soak up what special army regimen had to offer and swiftly counter-attack when the chance arose and managed to score two goals by Alinordi. Kroniz defense and goalkeeper were unbeatable in the first half.

In the second half, RPK with the fit army guys fired with all cylinders and managed to scored four goals. Amazingly kroniz managed to draw level with goals from Arch and Alinordi.

11 June: A win for Kroniz fc at Gurka Camp Sg Akar against Mindef Fc 3-1. Playing just behind a K9 training center put a lot of jitter among the players. The dogs are huge played their roles in the win as most of kroniz players run faster than usual because the dogs are just behinds them. In the first half kroniz lead 2-1 with goals from Jamri and Asri. In the second half kroniz keep up the momentum and managed to scored the third by Asri. The win gave the kroniz a better footing because the next game is with the army special regimen with fast and fit players.

Barclays Premier League stars are set to grace the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

Only six of the 32 participating nations have not named a Barclays Premier League player among their parties of 23 stars.

Italy, Slovenia, Japan, North Korea, Germany and Uruguay are the only countries not to have a current player from England's top division. Indeed, the Barclays Premier League is the best represented league at the FIFA World Cup, ahead of Italy and Spain.

Germany did have a Barclays Premier League representative but skipper Michael Ballack withdrew with a bad ankle injury picked up in the FA Cup final against Portsmouth.
Technically Jerome Boateng will become a Manchester City player on 1st July when he will hope to still be on World Cup duty having agreed a move from SV Hamburg.

And Slovenia named midfielder Robert Koren who has just been released by newly-promoted West Bromwich Albion.

REPLACE PLAYERS
Inevitably England have the highest number of Premier League players with all 23 of Fabio Capello's squad playing in the top flight. The coach is pinning his hopes on Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney to have completely recovered from his ankle injury, while Gareth Barry travels despite doubts surrounding his ankle.

They are followed by France and the USA on seven each. Nigeria have six following the withdrawal of John Obi Mikel through injury.

The preliminary squads were whittled down to 23 on 1st June. These names must all come from the squads already submitted.

However countries may replace players up to 24 hours before their first match - and these substitute names do not have to come from the initial list of 30.

That means there is still a chance for the likes of Ben Foster, Gary Neville, Ashley Young, Joleon Lescott or others to get a late call-up for the England squad.

Likewise Arsenal's Samir Nasri or Patrick Vieira of Manchester City could yet make the France squad after their slightly surprising omissions by coach Raymond Domenech who will be replaced by Laurent Blanc after the tournament.

With the likes of Rooney, Carlos Tevez and (fitness permitting) Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres on show, the 2010 World Cup looks set to be lit up by Barclays Premier League stars.

The Premier League will also be represented in South Africa by Howard Webb who will be England's refereeing representative with assistants Michael Mullarkey and Darren Cann.

31st Mei: Kroniz blew their world cup preparation into turmoil once more with the hammering by Peguma Fc at Kebajikan Field.

A truly astonishing afternoon exploded into life once Peguma Fc had put the ball three times in the goals before the break.

At about that point, kroniz's world imploded. After their midweek to Wasabi, Kroniz were eager to re-established their ability, it was an opportunity to reinforce their credentials.

Although Kroniz were not at their best, they monopolised early possession in the second half with two goals by Arch and.........

Given that backdrop, Kroniz could have been forgiven for thinking it was 'job done'. For a team that had offered so little in the opening 40 minutes, it was a quite astonishing change of fortunes.

However Peguma took advantage of the huge holes now apparent in the Kroniz rearguard, a simple close range finish following a swift break. With that goal, it was too little to late to prevent another defeat of the season. Kroniz Fc 2 Peguma Fc 4.

27 Mei: Kroniz went down fighting as they battled to be defeated by Wasabi Fc at MD field at friday afternoon courtesy of a superb display by two of kroniz players which played for Wasabi. The two young guns were Nasrin and Yazid who was loaned to wasabi fc that afternoon due to wasabi Fc lack of players.

Wasabi Fc looked to be cruising when Nasrin scored for Wasabi inside 20 minutes but zainal pulled one back for kroniz with a lovely loop before the break.

In the second half Wasabi scored again this time by Yazid and Roslan scored a screamer to pull back level. However with nasrin and Yazid run riot at kroniz defence and was breached again and again to make it 4-2 and with fighting sprit and not lying down kroniz close the gap again with another low shot form Roslan to make it 4-3.

Kroniz were simply giving Wasabi too much space and they paid for it again before the final whistle for the final score line of 5-3 to Wasabi Fc. The decision to loaned the two players was regretted by kroniz and lesson learned from that decision.

An astonishing win for Kroniz

15 Mei: Kroniz preparation for World Cup 2010 took astonishing outcome by hammering Pasukan hal Ehwal Masjid (PHEM) at Kebajikan Field.

A truly astonishing afternoon exploded into life once with both sides played fast and hard soccer in a wet and slippery field however PTEM had put the themselves in front in the 25th minute. Given that backdrop, PHEM could have been forgiven for thinking it was 'job done' with the goal.

But then, Kroniz were at their best, they monopolised early possession and could have been in front when Rahim turned onto an off-target zainal effort and fired a first-time shot over the bar from six yards.

At about that point, PTEM's world imploded. Their goalkeeper failed to keep out routine shots from Aliuddin just before the interval to make it 1-1.

In the second half, Bob spotted Zulkarnaen's perfectly-timed run in a flash and once through, there was never any real doubt the midfielder would beat PHEM keeper, which he did with a precise shot into the corner to lead 2-1.

Within 10 minutes after that goal, kroniz had scored again. With Kroniz had plenty of men forward Zukarnaen appeared to do everything right, Kroniz are relying on Zulkernaen at a crucial stage of the game and there could only be concerned frowns on the home bench as Zulkernaen bicycle kick shot that turned into a goal for a 3-1 lead.

A corner for PHEM in the 60th minute, ensuring the PHEM players was guarded as tight as possible however when a header eventually came flew into the far corner to close the gap 3-2.

For a player that had not scored on this ground before Jamri had offered so little in the opening minute but it was a quite astonishing change of fortunes. He took advantage of the huge holes now apparent in the PHEM rearguard, a long range finish following a corner to make it 4-2. An astonishing game which ended another win for Kroniz.

8 Mei: Bab saw his Kroniz side played with devastating style against SOAS Fc at SOAS Field. But perhaps more importantly for the manager is to win after two heavy defeats. The returned of Gnal after a month out of action due to injuries probably played a part in the win hehe.

Alinordi scored his first hattrick of the season while Gnoh and Asri also weighed in with a brace for Kroniz to secured a comfortable 5 -2 victory.

Kroniz dominate the first half with kroniz keeper Jul played an inspiring display to keep the goal intact. Asri found the net after being released by Nizam, in the 10 minutes to led 1-0. However, SOAS Fc pulled a goal back two minutes from the first half whistle to tie the score 1-1 in the first half.

In the second half, Kroniz maintained the momentum and SOAS FC again found themselves on the back foot with Alinordi firing on target following good link up play involving Gnoh and Arch.

Kroniz went 3-1 ahead in the 70th minute when Gnoh was left unmarked as Asri swung in a corner. He scored with a firm downward header and the ball crossed the line.

SOAS fc responded immediately making it 3-2 in the 75th minute when the SOAS striker shot from a distance with Jul out of position.

Kroniz extended their lead in the 80th minute after alinordi got on the end of a free-kick from Bab.

Kroniz went further ahead in the 85th minute with Alinordi shrugging off a couple of half-hearted challenges before sending a shot beyond the despairing SOAS keeper. The final score Kroniz 5- SOAS Fc 2.

28 April; With two heavy defeats in a row Kronizs turned their attention into a different ball game of 9 aside football at at DMW Primary school at Lambak. The friendly with ECA Dept was played in a wet condition but the artificial pitch does not impact the quality of the game. Kroniz started brighty in the game with a one nil lead however the inexperience of playing a 9 aside football cost kroniz the game. A few time kroniz's players try to pull offside traps in a game of no offside. The game see-saw with lots of goals from both side. The game ended with 12 -8 to ECA dept however the score line did not matters as both side have a fun outing. Asri Kroniz player score at five goals in the game to the extend that he damage his shoe.

24 April: Today saw kroniz fought with guts in a game against The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MORA) at Kebajikan Field. MORA is preparing themselves for the inter ministry tournament, one of the biggest sporting events in Brunei. On the bright side in this game most of Kroniz players is available. The game started brightly for kroniz however the players just could not convert the chances available. MORA on the other hand, played with determination to show that they are one of the strongest team among the Ministries. Luck was not on kroniz side and finally the gave up in the second half. MORA took advantage of the situation and the final score was another heavy defeat with the score line 5-0.

Ripin friends FC demolish kroniz

16 April: Kroniz Fc could not survive the on slough of Ripin Frineds FC (RFFC) with a demoralizing defeat of 4 -0 at MD Field. With only nine players available for the game kroniz were at disadvantage throughout the game. Kroniz did fought bravely throughout the game. For kroniz's the numbers just doesn't matter. In fact the sheer determination of the players to subdue RFFC earned the respect of the opponent. With the scoreline 0-0 in the first half Kroniz only broke down in the second half. An injured Kroniz player Gnal watching from the sideline commented that " throughtout the game kroniz played as if there were 11 players in the field its heart broken when all you could do is watch the game from the sideline and could not even play however I'll be back" he said.

A tale of two oil blocks

The 2009 agreement between Malaysia and Brunei over territorial dispute has come under intense criticism for supposedly putting the former at a disadvantage. But is the picture being painted the correct one?

THE historic Exchange of Letters between Brunei and Malaysia, which ended two decades of territorial dispute between the two countries, was controversial from the day one.

Reporters who covered the March 16 event in Brunei last year and had filed their stories with their respective papers were stumped on their flight home – headlines like “Brunei denies Malaysia’s Limbang story” and “Limbang issue never discussed” were splashed across Bruneian newspapers available on the plane.

Just two days before, then Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had signed the Exchange of Letters (essentially an agreement between countries) and had proudly told newsmen that Brunei had dropped its claim over Limbang in Sarawak as a result of the agreement.

But the Bruneian newspapers, quoting Brunei’s Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister II Pehin Lim Jock Seng, effectively denied Abdullah’s version of the agreement.

A little more than a year later, the agreement is still creating controversy.

This time, not only is the status of Limbang being questioned. The other major point of the agreement, that concerning the dispute over maritime territories, beneath which could lie billions of ringgit worth of oil and gas, is also being scrutinised.

The severe lack of information concerning the agreement has created opportunities to fan confusion and emotions among Malaysians. But thanks to the recent prodding by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the Government has been forced to let more details out into the public domain.

With the information now available, it may be possible to see if Malaysia has benefited from the deal, or otherwise.

Let’s deal with the Limbang issue first. Brunei’s Lim was right to say that nowhere in the 2009 agreement was the word “Limbang” mentioned.

Reacting to Brunei’s denial, Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim, who was then Foreign Minister, confirmed that Limbang was not mentioned in the agreement.

“But what was agreed to was for five historical border treaties between Brunei and Sarawak to be adhered to. This effectively makes the Limbang issue no more,” he said.

Two of the five treaties – one signed in 1920 and the other in 1933 – directly concerned Limbang. They established the border between Limbang and Brunei where it is today. As the border now places Limbang inside Malaysia, Brunei’s act of agreeing to follow the two agreements effectively means it agreed to let Limbang remain Malaysian. Once the demarcation of the border is completed, Limbang would be without question part of Sarawak.

So why the initial uproar by Brunei? One view is that it was not too happy with Malaysia quickly saying that it had got Limbang. It is extremely sensitive to the Bruneians as its loss in 1890 resulted in the Sultanate being split into two parts.

“Furthermore, they did not go around thumping their chests saying that they now got the oil that we wanted,” one commentator said. Nevertheless, he pointed out that Brunei’s Lim did not actually deny the statement that the Sultanate had dropped its claim over Limbang, indicating that there is no doubt that the claim had been dropped.

One of the points raised recently was whether Limbang was worth trading for the two oil-rich blocks. While the suggestion of such an exchange is wrong to begin with, the importance of Malaysia getting the isolated Limbang district should still not be downplayed.

A rather interesting but possibly exaggerated scenario was given by a historian. Brunei’s claim over Limbang, he pointed out, is based on the “unfair treaty” of 1890 between its Sultan and the White Rajahs of Sarawak.

“Brunei lost Limbang in an unfair treaty. But there is a school of thought that all treaties between the White Rajahs of Sarawak and Brunei, which resulted in Brunei losing the whole of Sarawak and the west coast of Sabah, were also unfair.

“After Limbang, could Kuching – or Kota Kinabalu for that matter – be claimed?” he queried.

Maritime territorial claims

Let’s move on to the maritime territorial claims and the two oil blocks.

Malaysia’s claim over the stretch of South China Sea where the two oil-rich exploitation blocks – named Blocks L and M by Malaysia (but were named as Blocks J and K by Brunei) – are located, and which Brunei claims to be its exclusive economic zone, has been described as akin to a person claiming ownership of the front yard of his neighbour’s house.

In 1979, Malaysia published a map showing its maritime territories. Whether rightly or wrongly, the map denied Brunei most of its territorial waters.

The UN Convention of the Law of the Sea (Unclos), of which both Brunei and Malaysia are signatories, gives all countries with coastlines the right to claim territorial waters up to a certain distance from the coastline. Malaysia’s 1979 map clearly did not conform to that provision as far as Brunei’s right to territorial waters was concerned.

It took four long days after the controversy blew up – after Abdullah and Petronas had issued statements – for Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry to state unequivocally that Malaysia’s dropping of its claim over the two oil blocks and the rest of Brunei’s territorial waters was based on sound international law.

There was no “signing away” of the two blocks because Malaysia could never have owned them in the first place. It would now seem unlikely that the two blocks could have been a major bargaining chip for Malaysia to get Limbang.

Malaysia awarded a concession over the two blocks to Petronas Carigali and Murphy Oil in 2003 as an assertion of its claim over the area, just as Brunei awarded concessions to six international companies to assert its claim over the same area.

But because of the dispute over sovereignty, none of the companies could start drilling for anything.

In March 2003, Murphy’s boat was chased away by a Bruneian gunboat and the following month, the Malaysian navy sent several gunboats into the area to block the arrival of a ship owned by Total, one of the companies awarded the concession by Brunei.

It was clear that not a drop of oil or a whiff of gas could be extracted from the area without the deadlock being resolved.

For more than half of the duration of the dispute, Dr Mahathir was Prime Minister. Going by what he has been saying recently, it is no surprise that there was no breakthrough in negotiations during that time.

However, as the realisation that no one would gain if the deadlock continued, pressure to move on started mounting.

A senior diplomat familiar with the negotiations said one of the things which broke the deadlock was when Malaysia indicated that it was willing to “discuss” its claim over the disputed waters.

Compromises were made by both sides and, because of the spirit of neighbourliness and close cultural ties, the matter was finally settled in late 2008. Malaysia recognised Brunei’s ownership of the disputed waters while the legality of the land border between Sarawak and Brunei – with Limbang remaining in Malaysia – would no longer be raised again by Brunei.

Despite Brunei becoming the owner of the oil and gas from the two blocks, the 2009 agreement allowed Malaysia to jointly exploit the resources of the area for 40 years. Petronas has confirmed that it has been invited by Brunei to take part in the development of the area.

Unlike two other existing “sharing agreements” – that between Malaysia and Thailand, and Malaysia and Vietnam – the one with Brunei is unique. In the two earlier cases, sovereignty of the overlapping area is still in dispute but with Brunei, this issue has been settled.

The cake is Brunei’s but Malaysia’s got a significant slice of it. More importantly, after waiting for 20 years, the two countries no longer need to wait further to start eating it.

1890: Brunei gives up Limbang to Sarawak’s second White Rajah Charles Brooke, splitting the Sultanate into two parts.

1979: Malaysia publishes map of its territorial waters. Map denies Brunei of any territorial waters in the South China Sea beyond the depth of 100 fathoms (182m), leaving Brunei with just a narrow strip of territorial waters, and claims the entire area beyond 100 fathoms as belonging to it.

1984: Brunei gains independence from Britain. It claims a 200 nautical mile exclusive economic zone which overlaps with the territorial waters claimed by Malaysia as shown in the 1979 map.

2003: Malaysia awards Petronas Carigali and Muphy Oil production contracts for the disputed Blocks L and M which lie within areas claimed by Brunei. Brunei also awards production contracts to Total, BHP Biliton and Hess for one block, and to Shell, ConocoPhilips and Mitsubishi for the other block.

March 2003: Brunei gunboats chase away Murphy Oil’s boat. One month later, Malaysian Navy gunboats prevent a Total boat from entering disputed area. All exploration work is suspended by both sides.

2009: Brunei and Malaysia sign Exchange of Letters to settle their land and maritime territorial disputes after more than 30 sessions of negotiations.

With the 2009 Exchange of Letters, Brunei and Malaysia agreed to establish their common border in two ways:

> By following five border treaties which were signed between 1920 and 1939.

> By filling the gaps not covered by the five treaties by following the “watershed” principle. This effectively means that there would not be any major deviation from the current border between Malaysia and Brunei. As Limbang is currently in Malaysian hands, there would be no change in its status once the demarcation process is completed.

1. The 1920 treaty establishes the eastern boundary of Limbang with Brunei along the entire length of the Pandaruan River.

2. The 1933 treaty establishes part of Limbang’s western boundary with Brunei along the watershed of the Brunei and Limbang Rivers “until a point west of Gadong Hill”.

3. The 2009 Exchange of Letters will fill in the gaps in the border according to the watershed principle.

9th April: Youngstar FC veterans were handed a devastating defeat following a 0-2 defeat to Kroniz Fc at Barakas Camp mini Stadium on Friday night.

Bob and Alinordi scored the two goals of the game in the second half to claim a morale boosting win for the Kronizs after two heavy defeats.

The gallant performance shown by Kroniz should be credited, as they carefully followed the instructions given by their ex manager and took the game to their opponents.

“That was what we were trying to do, and the team did well by closing them down without giving them time while they were on the ball,” revealed the ex manager who is now out of action for at least three weeks due to ankle tendon tear.

In what was probably the best game Kroniz had played this season, with their slick passing and stout defending.

Youngstar Fc veterans with most of the players were ex national team have a busy outing, and they was often in the thick of the action against their nemesis of the evening – Kroniz, who ensured their presence on the field would not go unnoticed.

By the time the game had progressed to this stage, it was clear that the Kroniz were having the upper hand with the kind of fluid passing game.

Twenty five minutes into the second half, Bob finally broke the Youngstar fc veterans defence.

In a reversal of usual roles, midfielder Arch played provider from the right flank, but playmaker showed a lack of composure in front of goal when he was blocked and entangled by his marker however the ball rolled nicely for Bob to slot it home hard and low for a 1 nil lead.

To be fair, Youngstar Fc did gradually find their footing in the second half, however for large parts of the second 45 minutes, they were limited to mounting their offensives from dead-ball situations.

A free kick on the 85 minutes, saw midfielder Alinordi decisive shot that flew past all the blue shirts wall, including the keeper at the near post, putting Kroniz two goal up.

“I think the best team won today and that team is Kroniz, as they played better than Youngstar Fc veterans,” Kroniz manager said.

When enquired on the subject of injured and suspended personnel limiting his options, “Yes, these are problems, which meant I had to make changes to my tactics with the help of kroniz ex manager.

“But this is football. Having said that, we know we lost two previous games, this should not be an excuse,” he concluded.

“It was a good effort against a tough quality opponent that we all know Youngstar Fc Veterans is,” said Nizam.

“Today we got it all right and I hope it continues. I don’t know how they put in the effort, but it was really pleasing, as they showed they are different class and, after losing two games, the character the lads had to come back was awesome.”

5th April: Kroniz Fc suffered another heavy defeat in the hand of Community Nursing FC (CNFC) at JKR B field. After a goalless first half, kroniz lose their discipline and all tactical plan went out the drain in the second half. The attendance of players were alo a let down with work and injuries. The eagerness to attack left the defense wide open for counter attack and fully utilized by CNFC. The vulnerability of the defense were fully exploited by CNFC strikers and scored five goals. Kroniz have no answer for the defeat and no players gave any comment for the two heavy defeat in a row. Final score kroniz Fc 0 CNFC 5.

Four goals bombardment in the first half and another two in the second half demoralized Kroniz. The hot El Nino day created problems for kroniz and fully utilized by MOE. Zurich: Brunei Darussalam are in danger of being expelled from world football due to government interference in the sport.

The FIFA Executive Committee on Friday agreed to submit to the next FIFA Congress the expulsion of The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (BAFA) if the BAFA has not been reinstated by then, after noting that no major progress had been made since the BAFA was suspended in September 2009.

FIFA warned that unless BAFA came to FIFA's Congress on June 9 and 10 in South Africa having met the conditions for reinstatement it would be expelled.

The Football Association of Brunei (BAFA) was suspended from international football in September 2009.

The other expulsion in recent history was South Africa, which was thrown out in 1976 under the former apartheid regime.

However, on a brighter note Kroniz Fc lives on....

After losing 2-4 to Pondok 12 last week and roniz succumbed to another defeat by Jabatan Laut Team (JLT) 0-3 today at Maktab Duli Field in the hot friday afternoon.

JLT took 19 minutes to open accounts, by rare mistake by Kroniz last man JLT striker pringing the offside trap to latch onto a through ball, getting to the ball just ahead of Kroniz keeper to prod into the empty net.

Kroniz were content with playing at half their usual pace; and with a lots of issues on their minds especially LegCo discussion before the game, the potential backlash of over-exertion in this game weighed heavy among their considerations.

As if still reeling from the shock of being behind, the static kroniz backline again allowed JLT to rush past them. Jul kroniz keeper, however, did better this time, getting down quickly to deny JLT.

The only real chance that kroniz crafted in the first half – and indeed the whole game – came on 31 minutes, with its architect coming in the unlikely form of centre-back Sulaiman.

Cutting out a pass, the lanky defender strode upfield unchecked, making it all the way to penalty box before playing a through ball to Azrin and laid it to the unmarked Gnal on the right.

With the bamboozled JLT defence guilty of ball-watching, Gnal hit it first time and watched as his shot went well wide.

Minutes later, the match ceased to exist as a competition of any sort until the end of the first half.

The far more experienced JLT side began the second half with the exuberance and urgency characteristic of their youth, their eagerness for this to become a more physical affair looking evident at times.

In the 70th minute a raking ball forward was controlled with an excellent first-touch by JLT striker, who took it past the stranded Jul with consummate ease and slotted the ball into the corner of the net.

2-0, yet there was no sign of jubilation, no indication that they were savouring a lead they had fought hard to build.

Rather than a statement of their arrogance, it was testament to their confidence and clinical efficiency that there was hardly any semblance of celebration – their plan was working, the result of the match all but a foregone conclusion by this time.

Even on the rare occasions that the JLT displayed signs of vulnerability, few among the Kroniz players had any faith that anything would come of it.

JLT should have expected the Kroniz to respond in kind, yet still conspired to present JLT their third goal of the night on a platter.

Miscommunication between Shafie and his goalkeeper that bordered on comical saw the defender past to the onrushing JLT striker, and there was little anyone could do to prevent JLT from practically strolling into the box to roll the ball into goal.

“It was not just that it was an easy game. We did what we planned to do, and things didn't worked out according to plan".

“We wanted to try things out against JLT, and tried to make our formation more perfect in the second half. “We have many games in a short period of time, and so a lot of kroniz players rested for the holidays" Pg Sufian added.

“There is a big difference in quality between the two sides, and in terms of age, experience, and many other aspects, but I am satisfied with the way we played.

“We kept playing despite going behind, so I can accept this result; it’s very normal' commented Jamri.

Kroniz FC a were stunned after losing 4-2 at Padang kebajikan against Pondok 12 FC today.

Pondok 12 with their experienced players produced arguably their best performance as they scored four breakaway goals in an outstanding display of attacking football.

The game was every bit as feisty as it was competitive, with both sides having a real go at each other.

Remarked a beaming head coach of Pondok 12 after the game: “We went out to play our attacking game as we usually do.”

“I saw great spirit amongst the players as they penetrated kroniz defence and made many good runs.

“Even if we faced some difficulties during the game, the belief, faith and trust in which I have in my players prevailed in the end.”

Pondok 12 made all the early running. It was perhaps no surprise that they took the lead in the fifth minute.

Pondok 12 ensured kronizs did not have it all their way as they subsequently launched a series of assaults Kroniz goalmouth.

Not to be undone in the fifteen minute, kroniz's striker Fendi began his run from deep inside his own half, when a burst of pace found him at the end of Aming’s delivery from the left and zipped his shot which rooted the keeper on the spot which made it 1-1.

Unfortunately, Kronizs faithful were to be stunned into silence after Pondok 12 striker squeezed in an effort from inside the box to give Pondok 12 the lead again.

Kroniz made it hard for themselves once more after being caught out on the counter attack following a corner to score another goal. Confidence was at its soaring best for Pondok 12 after they capped their amazing three-goal burst with aplomb 3-1 to Pondok 12 before half time.

In the second half with the injection of three youth players Kronizs were much more organized. Unfortunately, the chronic inability to shut up shop in defence all but resulted in the fourth goal for pondok 12 to lead 4-1.

Both teams had a real go at each other, Kronizs were rocked and even if they managed to keep Pondok 12 busy with corner after corner, most of the players could not manage to capitalize on the loose ball.

However, Bab Kroniz defender turns midfielder took no notice of that fact and after giving his marker the slip on 61 minutes, the ship captain reduced arrears with a customary goal, a precise left footed effort from inside the box.

He received the ball in midfield and strode forward unchallenged, as a defenders began to close in he struck left footed from the edge of the box, a rocket that left Pondok 12 keeper with no chance to close the gap 2 -4.

Post match, Kroniz manager Bab took stock, pondered deeply and commended his players, as he shared his thoughts on the match.

“It was a very good attacking game of football by both teams, with end-to-end action.

“It had been a good game with pace: some good goals, and poor ones as well. We had plenty to learn from and having kept going for 90 minutes, we should have scored more.

“Overall, I’m satisfied with the effort from the boys.

“Even when we were down, I told them to go all out in the second half and we managed to find our way back with my goal. However, I suppose the sucker punch came from Pondok 12’s fourth goal and perhaps better on the day.”

Kroniz salvage draw with spirited 2nd half performance

5hb: Shafie scored home right at the death to cap a remarkable afternoon for Kroniz FC in which they staged a rousing comeback from two goals down to force a draw against Star Family FC at MD Field.

The tutong-born centre-back’s scored in the 59th minute sent Kroniz faithful into raptures and salvaged a point for his team in a match that looked beyond their reach early in the first half.

Star Family Fc looked to have wrapped up the points in the first half with two goals, but a half-time rollicking by Kroniz players did the trick for Kroniz.

“I told them, look at the first half,” said Gnal in the absent of both Bab and Aripin. “Look at the kind of goals conceded. Is that the way you play football? If we don’t win, we will have a mountain to climb.”

Kroniz left it late to respond, but managed to leave MD Field with a point when all had seemed lost.

The hot sunny day that preceded the match had cast an ominous shadow over the afternoon’s proceedings, but the players were not to be disappointed by a cracker of an encounter that was end-to-end stuff from start to finish. However Kroniz were punished for a string of missed chances.

It took kroniz just five minutes to come undone, even as Star family FC looked the more likely to concede in the early exchanges.

Barely two minutes into the game, awful defending in their penalty area allowed SFFC dispossess Kroniz and advance on goal.
SRRC forward made the most of some inattentive defending by the Kroniz backline, taking the ball past them and slotting home from an angle, with Rosli looking conspicuously out of position.

The Kroniz defence had gone to sleep, and were duly punished.

When Kronizs created chances at the other end, however, they found SFFC keeper in particularly inspired form.

SFFC however, had no such problem moments later. Possession was given away in sloppy fashion by Kroniz in their half, and the ball was delivered into the box. SFFC striker rose high to nod the ball back across the goal, and Rosli spilled it under the challenge of a pink shirt. The ball fell kindly to SEEC striker, who slotted home for the second.

Kroniz continued to have the lion’s share of the chance in the second half but just couldn't convert the chances into goals until a completely unmarked Asri collected the ball and darted down with a sudden change of pace on the left side of the penalty area, and the seasoned forward slide his shot into the post.

Then came Shafie’s half-volley tongue-lashing shot, Aliuddin cornered did well to get past SFFC players and, having advanced into the box, Shafie did just enough at the right moment to volley his shot at the goal to set up an edgy finish, but the scoreline would stand at 2-2 when the final whistle was blowed. .

Gnal paid tribute to his side for the determination they displayed in coming back from two goals down. “We showed a lot of character to come back, but I thought we gave away two soft goals early on, and then it was an uphill task from there.

“But the players showed character, they were attacking all the way. “On the whole, it was very good to have come back. This is something good.”

“I thought we were much more there,” he said, gesturing with his hands, “but they didn’t have to work for their goals. We’ve got to work on that.”

“SFFC are young and fast, they penetrated our midfield, we were unable to cushion their attack, and we allowed them to come. Our midfield didn’t fall back enough, and we let them come at us again and again.

“But it was a very good performance to have come back. We need the points, we need to push ourselves up".

27th Feb: Kroniz survived a mighty scare after Persatuan Referee Tutong (PRT) come behind from two goals down to hold Kroniz FT to a 3-3 draw in an enthralling contest at Komplex Sukan Tutong today.

With action see-sawing from one end of the field to the other, the PRTs had to claw back to earn a share of the spoils with a goal in the second half.

Goals from new signing Nasrin (2) and Dodoi looked enough for Kroniz to earn a win but PRT pounced in the second half to ensure parity.

No one could have envisaged the away side taking a two-goal lead in the first half, but the signs were telling.

PRT with experienced players pushed the Kroniz hard, throughout the game with both sides traded attempts from range.

Kroniz took the lead in the 9th minute after a mix-up at the heart of the defence left in Dodoi in metres of space for him to smash in the game's opening goal.

Kroniz were keen to add onto their lead and struck once again in the 15th minute, after Dodoi once gain created havoc inside the box. His cross was only half-cleared, and Nasrin wasted little time in firing his team into an almost unbelivable two-nil lead.

However PRT never gave up and pushed really hard and managed to pull two goals back to make it 2-2 before half time.

Kroniz had other ideas, who else but Nasrin, getting himself onto the end of Ali’s teasing corner kick deep into the second minute of stoppage time to prod the ball home past the despairing reach of PRT keeper for kroniz to lead 3-2 going into the second half.

A slow start by both teams into the second half was suddenly livened up, after PRT’ goal in the second half to make it 3-3 to slowly back into the groove.

It was end-to-end stuff from then on, with 20 minutes to go, PRT kept pressing and continued with intent,

Three-all and both teams were left to wonder what could have been, “The good thing though, was the manner we came out stronger for the second half. “There was a huge sense of belief in the team as we kept going towards the end, as we could have scored more.”

Bab also emphasised the need to take chances, as he added: “We need to improve in future games and kill off the game as soon as we can”

“Though they came at us strongly in the final 15 minutes, we defended stoutly during that period.

“On the whole, we played to our game plan and I’m proud of my players tonight.”

With another potentially risky encounter on the horizon, Kroniz do need to be absolutely aware of the size of the task awaiting them.

Kroniz have yet to keep a clean sheet and more lax defending in future matches could cost them valuable points yet again.

Kroniz on top of their game

19 Feb: Kroniz battled hard yesterday afternoon at Maktab Duli Field with a narrow 2-1 win over Kg Mata-Mata FC (KMM FC).

Thankfully, they did sufficiently to claim the points in the end. “As far as the players’ [performances] were concerned they have a tendency to please and frustrate you in equal measure, but that’s football.

“We were on top of our game in the first half, though giving away a soft goal made it difficult for ourselves. KMM FC had their chances and made us work hard for the victory.

“The players dug deep, as we aim to win since kickoff,” concluded Bab Kroniz manager. KMM FC could have perhaps snatched a draw in the second half but Kroniz held on.

The game got off to a somewhat robust start when KMM striker conjured up an effort out of nowhere, his attempt slashed wide from way out.

After a quarter of an hour gone, KMM keep trying to make some forays upfront but were kept well in check by Shafie and company in defence.

With the game seemingly descending into lethargy, Asri endeavoured to take the game by the scruff of its neck with a darting run and shot with Aliuddin the provider. Alas, the Asri could not get his bearings right and sizzled his angled drive well wide.

Having come close with goal bound shots from Aming and an eager Fendi in quick succession, the Kroniz eventually got their noses in front on 27 minutes.

Asri raked in a great pass from Gnal’s after throw in and as the KMM defence stood still a soft pass evaded the defence and all was left to Asri to bulge the net, with the simplest of finishes leading 1-0 going into the break.

Going into the second half KMM were made to regret not taking the few goalscoring opportunities that came their way, when the Kronizs score again 5 minutes after the restart.

Dodoi, Kroniz new signing made the KMM pay with his determined effort and darting run moments later, when he was allowed to dribble pass three defenders with only the keeper to beat, he guided the ball into the net leading 2-0.

However, whether it was down to nerves or complacency or not, Kronizs put themselves on the backfoot in the 51st minute. Curiously, the kroniz did not seem to get into their customary stride in the game and proceeded to make unwarranted mistakes, where one moment of indecision of defending, KMM took the advantage and score a goal to closed the gap to 2-1.
KMM were still in the game and their players could have caused a few ripples however kroniz defence held on.

“We deserved a draw, where it was perhaps a fair result. The way we set up ourselves surprised Kroniz a little, and even as we went behind we never sat back, went forward and tried to create chances.” said KMM player.

Kroniz put three past Jabatan Perlabuhan for another victory

14hb Feb: Jabatan Perlabuhan’s preparation for a tournament in Thailand in April was dealt a blow, when they went down 3-1 to Kroniz FC at Kebajikan Field this afternoon.

Jabatan perlabuhan (JP) started out the brighter of the two teams, as their striker took on the Kroniz defence straight from the kick off. His darting run ending with a weak shot that was easily saved by kroniz goalkeeper, Zulkarnean who played brilliantly throughout the game.

Kroniz refused to sit back and allow the JP to dictate the pace of the game. A flurry of chances could have seen them taking the lead early on.

Ten minutes later, JP broke the deadlock. A left footed attempt by JP player was blocked away by kroniz's defender only to the feet of JP striker, who shot it straight back at the goal to lead 1-0

JP had no reply for Kroniz’s attack and were punished on the 15th minute. Pg Asmalee’s run into the penalty area found an unmarked new signing Dodoi, who calmly slotted home the equalizer.

The very determined kronizs increased their pace after the equalizer. A neat pass from Gnal opened up the JP defence to set off Pg Asmalee on a darting run that saw him cut in from the flank and take on the entire defence and cooly put his shot pass JP keeper for kroniz second goal.

Kroniz started the second half the same way they had ended it. Arch’s quick free kick seemed to have caught the entire JP defence by surprise. The goalkeeper though, was alert and saved it.

JP’s inability to take their chances would prove costly 10 minutes later. Pg Asmalee was instrumental in his side’s attack once again a through ball from Bob beating the off side trap and with only the goal keeper to beat, Pg asmalee made no mistake and put his side 3-1 up. for his second of the day.

JP were the more dominant side, but Kroniz’s ability to turn chances into goals proved to be the key in this game as they ran out comfortable winners.

Kroniz’s assistant manager Pg Ariffin, was pleased with the team’s performance.

“The (young) team member is starting to mature slowly and is starting to gel with the team.”

“There were flaws in the first few games but we’re working on it. As the defenders get better, the forwards are getting better too. This benefits the whole team and we’re scoring. It showed today and we deserved to win.”

Kroniz FC storm past JPD

5th Feb: It was not exactly the “pass-and-move” brand of football Kroniz players have been extolling, but Kroniz FC produced enough panache in their performance to win today's game .

That came after a comprehensive 3-0 win over Jabatan Pengangkutan Darat (JPD) at Maktab Duli Field this afternoon..

The scoreline was harsh on the JPD side, who had created enough chances to even win the game themselves, but their profligacy in front of goal meant that Kroniz FC eventually finished comfortable winners.

Kroniz got off to a dream start, with the opener after just fifteen minutes. It was Aliuddin sending a beautifully floated corner kick cross to the far post and Shafie could not have been any happier waiting and getting the finish right despite the best efforts from JPD keeper. Shafie was clearly in the mood on the day, and ten minutes later his effort hit the goal post.

Five minutes later Shafie bore down on goal but took too long to shoot, and when he finally did, he saw his effort blocked by JPD leftback. The ball fell to Azreen, and the striker saw his scooter kick shot into the net for a 2-nil lead.

Five minutes before half-time, Sulaiman, who had a sparkling game in defence for Kronizs, sent a left-footed effort in the penalty area with three JPD player trying to stop him however his determination to score a goal curled into the right-hand upright, and Kroniz entered the break looking fairly comfortable with 3-0.

The second half proved to be a cagey affair, with neither side creating any real clear goal scoring chances.

Kroniz Asst.manager Pg Ariffin was happy with the win, but was aware of the areas where his team had to improve.

“It was a tough game, actually,” reflected the 40-year-old.

"He further said he felt his team’s play was still “not fluid enough” and that there was “still a lot of room for improvement”.

Kroniz FC costly lost against QAF Auto FC 3-4

31st Jan: When QAF Auto FC took the lead in the fourth minute on Sunday night match against Kroniz FC those assembled at the Padang Kebajikan must have wondered just how dominant QAF FC would be and if they would rattle in a lot more goals before they were finished.

In the end the QAF FC had to settle for a 4-3 win, with a very late goal, a result they achieved only after the plucky kroniz FC side that had clawed their way back to 1-3 leading in the first half.

In the first half, after a goal down, Kroniz surprisingly dictated the pace of the game, and the four players on trail players in particular caught the attention of the spectators with their scintillating performances.

Wingers Bob and Dodoi, plus Asri, proved to be constant menaces to the QAF FC defence. It was no surprise that all three players had their names on the score sheet after 45 minutes.

However, QAF Auto FC with a few B league players on their side came back from two goal down to equalise, and it proved to be a futile effort as individual mistakes by Kroniz proved too much at the end of the 90 minutes.

Kroniz head coach Bab cut a disappointed figure at the end of the game. He said: “My players had not much concentration in the second half of the game and it proved to be costly for us.

“We played hard and were determined to beat QAF FC but what happens during the game always happens again and again. I am disappointed with the mistakes,” a player commented.

QAF FC team clawed themselves back into the match in the second half, when they were awarded a penalty after their striker was upended by defender Rosli in the penalty box to make the score 2 -3.

Alas, 20 minutes from time, kroniz keeper was to undo his teammate’s effort by failing to hold on to a cross. The ball spilled to none other than the predatory QAF striker, who deservingly grabbed his second of the night with another simple tap-in to make it 3-3.

QAF FC striker capped off a fine individual performance by adding the icing on the cake with his team’s fourth goal. In the 90th minute, the winger sidestepped his way skillfully past two defenders before committing kroniz keeper misstep and QAF striker finishing coolly directing the ball to uncovered angle making it 4-3 to QAF Auto FC.

Two goals from Gnal inspires Kroniz romp

22 Jan: Two goals form Gnal, another two from Asri and another from HJ Fendi gave a resounding 5-3 triumph over MInistry of Finance (MOF) at Maktab Duli Field on Friday afternoon.

It was a surprise when the deadlock was broken just twelve minutes in, by HJ Fendi as he eluded his marker turned a score a rare field goal.

However, MOF started to be well organized and continued to dominate proceedings, after that goal. MOF seemed to be awakened by the quick strike. Leading an unexpected response with three goals therefore leading Kroniz with 1-3 in the first half.

Kroniz started off brightly in the second half, stringing better passes and making more efforts in retaining possession and venturing upfront. A wonder strike from Gnal five minutes later after breaking away from the MOF defense close the gap to 2-3 , his curling shot outside the penalty box to the top corner which left MOF keeper stranded.

10 minutes later, Kroniz were handed the moment to produce their clincher. Asri broke into the penalty area and a defender challenging him, tripping the former in the process. Referee pointed to the spot immediately, Asri duly stepped up and converted the spot kick to make it 3-3.

MOF’s goal was breached again just two minutes later. This time a cross deflected off MOF defender and went the direction of a surprised Gnal, who did well to backtrack and gleefully capitalized on the situation to stab into goal from close range for Kroniz to lead 4-3.

But there was no doubt whose team going to win the game, with Asri put icing on the cake with his second goals to finished the game with a 5-3 victory to kroniz.

Kroniz head coach Bab was satisfied with the three points his team had collected.

“The attacking form and quality today was good, although we were a little disappointment in the first half, we were a little out of play. Luckily we had a couple of good playl and we are happy with the final score.

“I am very pleased that we could keep creating plenty of opportunities. There were plenty of good performances out there, many players want to be recognized with their work today and contributed to the result.”

Kroniz top first game of the season

20 Jan: Kroniz FC kicked off their 2010 season with a resounding 3-2 victory over SM Awang Semaun (SMAS) at the Belapan Field on Wednesday afternoon and pick up the first win of the season.

In a tie marred by injuries, the Kroniz were missing the services of a few players. This to the advantage of SMAS made a strong surge for goal with an early siege on Kroniz, but the experienced backline lead by Sulaiman made it difficult for the visitors to trouble kroniz goalkeeper Pg Zul.

A sumptuous team move from kroniz produced a piercing through ball for Pg Suffian, who sprinted away from the SMAS defence and crossing the ball forcing SMAS goalkeeper to make an error catching the ball to the delight of Gnal and slot it home to the open net. Kroniz lead the first half 1-0.

Kroniz continued their fine form after the restart, with two more goals from Aliuddin and Asri. However SMAS managed to score two goals. The final score was Kroniz FC 3 SMAS 2.

“We are disappointed to have lost the game,” said SMAS head coach after the game. “Our players could not play according to the style we had in mind, and that was what led to our defeat.”

“SMAS made it very difficult for us as they have a very fit and well-organised team,” said Kroniz team manager praising the visitors’ efficiency in movement and fitness. “The first half was difficult, but it was a good thing that we had the self-belief to win the game.

“We managed to maintain the shape and discipline of the entire team, and fought on to get the deserving goals,” he continued.

Pre Season Tournament Nightmare

A pre season mini tournament was organized at SMJA field in a wet Saturday night. It was a fantastic tournament with great teams such as BPR, TAIB and .......... . The four teams played a round robin games that night which ended at 12.30am." It was a terrific experience for the players to go there and play so I am sure it will be a great build-up to the season and we are all looking forward to playing in 2010" said Pg Ariffin.

Kroniz lost two of the games and won the last game. However the tournament came with a heavy price tag as a few players was injured playing in the Tournament. The nightmare would have an impact on kroniz's long season. Please update report with results,,,

Pre-season friendlies: Calendar 2010

Preparations for the Kroniz FC season 2010 are entering their final weeks, and the club has been busy scheduling pre-season friendlies as they prime themselves for the big kickoff for the first game of the season.

Kroniz played two pre-season matches against Rejects league player (RLP) at Belapan Field and Pasukan Gerak Khas (PGK) at MD Field.

In the first game a weak Kroniz FC A line-up went down 4-2 to Reject League Players (RLP) at Belapan Field as they suffered something of a first-half collapse.

The incomplete kroniz's team have to borrowed three players as kroniz lost control of a match with three goals in the first half.

However in the second a more organized kroniz team managed to close the gap with two goals but a volleyed by RLP player before the final whistle destroy kroniz comeback.

In the second Kroniz pre-season programme also ended in disappointment as Bab's troops suffered a comprehensive 2-0 defeat against the fit Pasukan Gerak Khas (PGK).

After a tight first half, the PGK came alive after the break with two wonderful goals. the deadlock was finally broken 20 minutes from time with a clear header and the second a low sharp right wing free kick.

Gnal Family Team gatecrash Kroniz's end of year game

Gnal Family Team (GFT) denied Kroniz the pleasure of a winning end of the year game when the two teams played out a 2-2 draw at MD Soccer Field on Chrismas Day Game Friday afternoon.

However Hadi’s penalty one minutes from time could have clinched a well deserved win for kroniz but a weak kicked was easily saved by GFT keeper when the score was tied 2-2.

Kroniz needed goals from Asri and Aliuddin to restore parity against an inspired GFT side, and had seemed set to complete the Houdini escape when their striker scored with four minutes on the clock.

Even when GFT was leading, Kroniz’s boys were clearly stunned by the early goal, and they sought to get back on level terms as soon as possible.

But Asri was pull just outside the box instantly handed kroniz a chance to draw level, and they promptly did so when Asri beautiful freekick ended on the top corner to the delight of kroniz players.

At the heart of the action was Aliuddin with another free kick he became the hero when his free kick on 13 minutes was spectacularly dipping under goalpost and with that leading 2-1.

On 25 minutes, the GFT finally seized the advantage, a lobbing free kick on the right for GFT striker to nod down at the far post to make it 2-2. It did not helped by the unclear sight of extra kilos on Kroniz players frame – to render the Kroniz backline vulnerable though, and GFT players made the most of the situation to pull level.

Apart from those moments, though, GFT rarely looked like a coherent threat in a first half characterized by high pace but no real rhythm.

Credit for that definitely has to go to Kroniz’s tactics, which revolved around keeping the visitors out of their stride and putting pressure on the GFT defence, for whom Sulaiman was clocking overtime for several spells in the first half.

With both teams playing well going forward, however, it was never certain who would go on to score the game’s winning goal, although Hadi should have done better than to let his penalty effort low and weak towards GFT goalkeeper.

And with that, GFT managed to gatecrash Kroniz’s end of year game – but the foods flew all around the Gadong Foodzone as Kroniz celebrated the end of another long year campaign.

Kroniz Manager, A. Bab was a proud man following his team’s impressive performance against GFT describing the match between both teams as ‘fantastic’.

Admitting his team could have won outright he nonetheless saluted Kroniz for their "nada sadarkan diri" attitude.

“We almost had all the points, but I don’t want to talk too much about this game,” he said.

“We wanted to go into this game and do our best, and we definitely did it today. We had GFT on the ropes at times, especially in a superb first half for us.

“It was good football and fantastic for us as well!”

Kroniz Asst Manager, Pg Ariffin was satisfied with his players’ performance.

“I think the players who came in today gave a good account of themselves,” he noted.

“A draw is a fair result, and I think based on this performance, Kroniz will be a good side next year if all the players are kept intact and fit. If we keep everyone and with another year of experience, they’ll be a strong team next year although some of the players are already in negotiation with some of the best clubs in Europe such as Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Another concern is when Dubai World plan to take over the club but Kroniz management will fight the take over penny with penny".

Kroniz pragmatic self rued several missed chances

Two goals in each half helped Bahrin Team (BT) grab a morale-boosting win over Kroniz at Belapan Stadium on Sunday evening accompanied with thunder and lighting in a match between the two different generation outfits. The BTs average just 25 years of age, while Kroniz are twenty years older on average.

It was more than pride and supremacy were at stake as these two sides battled it out to win the game.

After a vigorous first half which ended goalless, the BT emerged victors of the enthusiastically-fought contest courtesy of well-placed strikes by BT strikers.

With the result, Kroniz coach Pg Ariffin was less than satisfied in his post-match review, sharing concerns on what he saw as indiscipline in the attacking line and referee decisions.

“It was not a good result and not too happy with their performance,” said the former UBD Tennis player.

“They are not playing to their roles in attack, going everywhere except where they should be. They need to be brought down to earth, realise soccer is a team game, play as a team and not as individuals or stars.”

Bab was his usual pragmatic self as he rued the several missed chances.

“Bad result. We had chances, but did not make use of them.”

“We are not defending well, and we are not scoring. We were lacking attacking options up front due to injuries and holidays.”

Kroniz could take consolation, however, from the fact that the scoreline could have read differently to Kroniz, except that the referee had chalked off what appeared to be two clear goals, one in each half.

The rookie referee was barracked by Kroniz players for those calls, but the some other players themselves accepted those decisions, persevered and eventually came good when it came to taking subsequent opportunities, getting their due rewards at the later stages as their opponents were again found wanting at the other end.

Heartened by the opportunities they had, the Kroniz were growing in confidence as they began their push forward, driving BTs deep into their own half.

The match was threatening to boil over at various points, as indignant youth collided with authority and frustration steadily mounted among both sets of players.

But the BTs got their redemption on 30 minutes. Following a blocked free kick routine, BT player barged down the right, cleared his marker inside the Kroniz box and slotted the ball into the net, overcoming the tight angle between the post and the goalkeeper. 1-0 before the half-time.

Stung into action, Kroniz responded positively when, during an immediate counter, the ball bobbled near their opponent’s post, bouncing narrowly past the woodwork as it drifted out of play.

The BTs were ahead but by no means certain winners, at least no yet. Kronizs were still pressing and their penetrative forays into the BT goal area were giving them renewed confidence.

A free-kick taken by a kroniz player two minutes from the end proved dangerous as the ball came off the wall, rose high and then ascended near the right post, a player just barely failing to get his foot to the leather as the opportunity for a morale-boosting equaliser passed by.

In the second half, it was two-up to BTs when BT substitute ended the tie with a goal of some aplomb, an audacious curler from 25 yards out that sailed over Kroniz keeper, and into the back of the Kroniz net.

“If they start getting too big for their shoes and think they have arrived, maybe it is time for some changes.” commended one of Kroniz player disappointed with the lost.
